*One Month Later*

"Come on Adeline, this isn't beginners hour. Get it together and let's go again." Rhea said.

We went to the same field that I always go to, although my special thinking place is starting to get ruined for me considering Rhea has just been kicking my ass for the past four hours. I got a good handle on lightening but now I'm learning about converting the powers.

"How do you get this?" I said, frustrated and panting.

"It's science Ada. Energy cannot be destroyed but it can be changed and that's what you're doing, you're changing the energy that is being thrown at you. Well, trying to at least." Rhea said has she walked around me, not even really breaking a sweat.

"But power is power, fire is fire and water is water, it doesn't make sense that I can change them from one thing to another." I said, getting off the ground and trying to control my breathing.

"You're looking at it all wrong. You're looking at it like everything is strictly what it is, you need to look deeper and control the underlying energy that connects everything together. You only see the surface of what you're controlling, you have to go deeper than that." Rhea said, backing up to get ready to go again.

"Yeah, has easy has that right?" I said sarcastically.

"You know I'm being really soft on you for this training, I could beat the shit out of you every time you get this wrong like our Mother trained me. I'm sure you would pick this up faster if that's how you were trained so I would suggest not complaining to much for the package you're getting." Rhea said.

"Yeah, I'll stick with this please. Just go again." I said and prepared myself.

Rhea put her hands in front of her and she effortlessly formed a lightening orb in between her hands. She made everything look so easy, like this really was her second nature. She shot the orb at me and focused on the lightening, catching it between my hands. I studied the energy, like putting on glasses that allowed me to see the energy course through the orb. Rhea said that I was only looking has if all of the energy were specific to what I was controlling but I had to expand my view. I wanted to change this to water, and I knew that this energy was connected to water. I forcefully focused my mind and the orb slowly shifted from lightening to water.

"Yes! Now was that so hard?" Rhea said and started walking closer to me.

"Piece of cake." I rolled my eyes and moved my hands so the orb went into the water behind me.

"You realize why I'm forcing you to understand this concept right?" Rhea asked.

"I don't understand a damn thing about you so no I don't know why you're driving this lesson so hard." I said.

"Because if you grasp this lesson and master it, you will be able to do anything with your powers. You're problem isn't that you can't do it, you're problem is that you don't have the perception to see what you can do. You need to stop acting like you aren't one of the most powerful beings on the planet, start seeing that you are the baddest bitch out there." Rhea said.

"If I'm so powerful, how are you constantly whooping my ass?" I asked.

"I already know I'm a bad bitch, you haven't realized that yet." Rhea smirked.

"Wow, that's a scripture translation that I didn't expect. Realize you're a bad bitch and you can unlock all your powers. I think I like that version better." I said.

Rhea and I have been out training everyday for the past month. From sunrise to sunset we've been at this place, training has hard has we can so that we can really be prepared for Alana. Through all of this, Rhea and I have actually gotten closer but one thing has stayed the same and that is that she will not tell me what her reason is for wanting our mother dead.
