Chapter 6

I felt a hand on my back shove me out of the moving van. I layed there in pain, grabbed my phone and took a photo of the license plate on the van. I called Tanner.
"Hello!" He sounded panicked. "Are you okay?"
I started crying "No. Tanner, I can't explain over the phone. I need you." I was sobbing at this point.
"(Y/N) you have to talk to me, what's the problem?" I heard him grabbing keys. "Where are you?"
"I'm on a highway. I'm not sure which one. I'll use my phone to check. Give me a sec." I was crying a little less. "I'm on Route 49." (I, the writer, just made that up). "Tanner, please hurry up." I just wanted to be in his arms.
———Time Skip, 30 mins later, when Tanner arrives—————
You guys stayed on the phone the whole time. You saw a car pull over near you. It was Tanner. "(Y/N) OH MY GOD! WHAT HAPPENED?" Tanner yelled, picking me up and carrying me to his truck.
Once we got in I told him the story. "That's so terrible." I could hear the sorrow in his voice.
"Tanner?" I said in an innocent way.
"Yes babe?" He responded.
"When we get to where ever we're going can we just lay on a couch with a comfy blanket and cuddle?" I asked.
"Yes. Anything for you." He put one hand on my knee and began to drive away.
"You are my savior." I said, just wanting to be cuddling.
"Well, every princess needs a savior." He said as he grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it. "I love you." He whispered to me. I drifted off and woke up at the hospital.
"Tanner, I thought we were going to the office?" I asked as we were getting out of the truck.
"I want to make sure you aren't injured first." He said walking to help me. I was limping and could barely walk. "Let me carry you." He said as he picked me up.
He walked into the hospital and then he smiled and gently put me into a chair in the waiting room. "I'll be back." He went to the front desk.
          I tried to walk up to him, but I was limping and it hurt my leg and foot, but I kept going. I hugged him from behind and whispered "I love you."
            "I love you too." He smiled.
