Some time has passed since Compass has seen the attractive man that was in her room. Her grandmother called him Hypnos just like Phoenix. The mere thought of his name made her tongue itch to say it, but when his name was spoken a delightful chill ran through her. She still spends time with Phoenix but it is mainly work related. She has not dared to kiss him again, the feeling now completely off. Compass is free to dream without fearing for nightmares, thanks to Hypnos. No, now one man repeats over and over in her dreams, almost like a memory.
"Hey there pretty girl." Nixie said as she spotted Compass walking to the gym.
"How are you Nixie?" Compass asked giving her a hug.
"I'm good. Why don't you join me and some others for a swim?" Nixie asked and Compass nodded in agreement.
Swimming helped Compass ease her mind of this mysterious man, but it brought many other thoughts of Phoenix. A turn and divided mind she had, luckily her heart stayed out of the situation which made things slightly easier to deal with. Some of the other girls joined Nixie and Compass for a swim as well. You couldn't think they would join in the human world.
"Compass why the long face darling?" Nixie asked and swam up to the ledge beside her.
"It's nothing Nixie, don't worry. I just don't know how to handle this right now." Compass said as she swept her foot the water's surface.
"Him" Tori spoke "You mean him, don't you?"
"I told you not to worry over him. He's moody and has always done this." Stella told her as she say beside her.
No one knows of the one too many secretive moments that Compass has shared with Phoenix. He has been gone longer than expected. He's been following a lead of who killed her parents and Titus. Yet with all of this, he hasn't answered any of the questions. No answers just more secrets.
"I know, why don't we tell stories?" Nixie said as a means to distract Compass.
"No, she needs hot chocolate." Stella suggested and Tori added "And a good book."
