LenaSpice Girls Wannabe was playing on my bookshelf. I opened my eyes and watched hopelessly as my phone vibrated and dropped on the floor. I sat up almost instantly and ran over to it to make sure it hadn't cracked. Of course it hadn't, thank goodness.
I walk heavily back to my bed, tidied it up, drew my curtains open and began my morning routine. After I washed my face, struggled to put on all my face creams, brushed my hair, put on some natural looking makeup and put on some tracksuits and a crop top, I made my way down to the kitchen.
As I climbed down the narrow steps, I walked into Hugo, topless and only in a towel. "Holy- Oh my God I'm so sorry!" I covered my eyes with hands and rushed down the steps to run away from his handsomeness. I didn't bother to mention the fact that he had an en-suite, I just wanted to escape.
"Good morning, sweetheart!" Mum's voice rang over the sizzling of bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancakes? She never made this much effort in the morning.
"You're cooking breakfast? I thought you had to rush to work today." I sat down and served myself some waffles. They weren't hot but they were good enough to leave a comfy warmth in my stomach.
"I thought I'd stay home and make an effort for you all." By you all she meant Hugo. "Where is Hugo, by the way? Has he settled in?"
I topped my waffles with whipped cream and maple syrup. I was starving! Don't think I had dinner yesterday, the ride home took longer than I expected due to traffic. "I think so, he had a shower this morning."
Mum poked her head out through the doorway and looked at me suspiciously. I processed what I had just said and blurted out, "Not that I looked or anything! I was just minding my own business!" I smiled, feeling my cheeks grow pink.
"Morning, Mrs. Davidson." Hugo stood at the door, wearing not a suit this time, but a loose buttoned shirt with probably the nicest jeans I've ever seen any boy wear.
"Oh good morning, Hugo! I hope the girls were welcoming to you yesterday on the journey home." Mum smiled as she set down the eggs, bacon and pancakes. "Did you settle in okay?"
Hugo nodded and served himself some eggs and bacon. "Yes I did, thank you!"
There was a thunder of footsteps rushing down the stairs. Molly emerged from the door and hopped next to Hugo. "Morning, handsome!"
Before I scolded Molly, Hugo gently put his hand on my shoulder and said, "It's okay, Lena." He laughed and turned to Molly. "Good morning to you too."
After we had eaten and gotten our bags together we walked together to the school. The walk was short and we passed a lot of other students from my year. I was so glad we lived so close together, I loved how I could just walk right to Bella's house without having to arrange drives with my parents.
"When am I going to meet them?"
I broke away from my thoughts. "What?" I sounded like an absolute moron! "Oh sorry, Hugo." I laughed. I'd managed to embarrass myself twice this morning already. "Who do you mean?"
"Your friends." He was looking forward, observing all the kids passing by on skateboards and bikes, the groups of girls walking past and giggling as he glanced at them.
"Oh! Today I guess. But you're not in my year..." I pouted mockingly.
"I see you basically 24/7, you have nothing to worry about!" He winked at me. God he's so hot! His jawline could cut me in half.
As we neared the school, two familiar figures rushed over to me and stared at Hugo as the rushed to my side.
"LENAAAA!" Bella's high-pitched shrill of a voice almost deafened me. "I haven't seen you for-"
"One day, Bella!" I wheezed as she almost walked into a bush in our path. Next to me Hugo watched as I chatted with my two best friends.
"Lena," Charlie spoke quickly, almost a whisper. "Who's the hot guy? Is he your cousin? Because I bagsy him first, Bella."
Bella nudged Charlie in the arm. "Aw no fair!"
I slapped them both on the arms and cleared my throat. "No he is not my cousin, Charlie, this is Hugo. Hugo is staying with me and my family till he finishes school." I smiled, waiting for them to say hello.
"Hii..." Bella and Charlie chimed dreamily.
"Nice to meet you." Hugo said, his English accent made him seem so posh compared to us.
"Oh he's British!!" The two of them squealed excitedly.
This was gonna be a longg day...
