Hugo
"Mum. Mum!" Who's voice was that? "He's waking up!" A gorgeous girl with blonde hair stood over me, a shade of fatigue and worry cloud her face. She mustn't have slept in days.
"W-where am I?" I tried to get up but a surge of pain erupted from every angle of my body.
"Whoa, slow down." A light chuckle escaped the girl's mouth. "It's okay, you're okay." She smiled. My heart felt whole all of a sudden.
The door opened. Another girl with dark brown wavey hair walked nervously into the room. "Hugo?" Her voice was shaky. "How are you?"
My eyes were still adjusting. My head hurt. I rubbed my temples and struggled to get comfortable.
"Hugo, are you comfortable?" The blonde girl looked at me and was by my side immediately. "Nurse?"
I put my hand on her's. "No, it's alright. I'm fine." I looked at the girl with dark brown hair and smiled a lop-sided smile. "I'm okay."
She smiled back. I recognize her. Where have I seen her? Another woman walks in, older. Possibly the blonde girl's mother. "Hugo," she says. "I see you're already talking with the girls again." She smiled.
I smiled. Confusion clouded my eyes. "Um, this will probably sound stupid but who are you all?"
Everyone's eyes lit up. Not of happiness, or shock, but of sadness. "Hugo," The blonde girl said. "Do you not remember? Any of us?" She was frowning, tears forming in her eyes.
"Where's my mum?" I tried getting up again but the blonde girl placed her hand gently on my shoulder. I eased my self back down. "Have we left London yet?"
The two girls and the older woman looked at me, confused. They said nothing and let me babbling to myself.
"We must get our things otherwise we'll miss our flight!" I breathed unsteadily. "Why am I in this bed?"
Someone else came through the door, bustling around, checking my readings and my forehead. She turned to the older woman. I could only just make out what she was saying.
"He's suffering from a concussion. He'll probably start, if he hasn't already, talking about some things from the past. It'll take us some time to help him regain his memory back." She smiled sympathetically at me and placed a hand on the older woman shoulder. "We're trying everything we can, but he'll be alright."
The nurse left the room, leaving me with the two girls. The darker haired one began to cry.
"It's my fault, Lena." She wiped the tears away aggressively. "It's my fault he crashed."
The other girl's name was Lena. She smiled softly and pulled her into a hug. "Of course it isn't," she said. "How could it have been your fault?"
She sniffed and continued to wipe away the tears. "I spoke to him before." Lena was still. She said nothing, letting the darker-haired girl continue talking. "I spoke to him. I shouldn't have said it and now look!"
My head was throbbing, as were my eyes and body. I shifted my position and listened to my breathing. In my state of confusion all I could remember was one night, one night in London.
