"Zipporah!" Yelled Tellise who ran up to her best friend. Zipporah jumped, almost dropping her books as she turned around. Her face lit up into a smile as she saw the caramelised face girl.
"Wow, it's been a while." Zipporah said still smiling.
"It's been more than a while girl! I've missed you." Tellise hugged Zipporah. Well why didn't you bother to call or message then? Thought Zipporah.
"Well I have to go before I'm late, I've got to meet my dad in the headteacher's office to find out my results in the GCSE mock exam." Zipporah said urgently as she waved Tellise off.
Tellise waved back at her, upholding her fake smile. Truthfully Tellise envied Zipporah. Zipporah stole from Tellise and for that Tellise would never even consider to like Zipporah.
Tellise was county champion in athletics, until last year.
A new girl joined the school and gained attention for being new at the end of the year and for having womanly features, such as a banging figure. This new girl competed in the county finals, due to how her father had some connections which gained her an invite. Fortunately the new girl won the finals, which gained her huge popularity. However, unfortunately for Tellise her popularity ranking went downhill and she couldn't understand why. Tellise was mixed race, with wavy long hair and freckles. This was the boy's ideal type, mixed race. Plus Tellise's parents have money, her father being a doctor and her mother a lawyer. She was everyone's dream, but Zipporah stole this light and fame from her. So Tellise made it her mission to befriend Zipporah to gain her rightful status back. However, the school found out that Zipporah was a genius also, which made her ranking go higher. Zipporah was unaware of this popularity she carried around, however Tellise wasn't. Tellise made it another mission to become smart academically to beat Zipporah. Tellise's motive was, keep you friends close, but enemies closer. So in order to have Zipporah close to her, she made sure to get private tuition over the summer holidays in order to be selected in the gifted and talented group. For now her parents haven't gotten a call from the school to make her sit an exam, but she know she will. Or does she? In her maths class there was some chinky-eyed boy who completed several topics in one lesson. Tellise heard the teachers saying he's going to be put in the gifted group, however surely Zipporah wasn't that smart to join it. And if she was that meant Tellise could be as well.
Furthermore, Tellise's mouth was left agape as she was surprised that Zipporah had already done the exam. Tellise shook her head and headed to form.
Full black girls aren't pretty. They have short nappy hair, like Zipporah or live in bundles of weave. Like my father's side of the family, the females have tons of wigs and bundles of weave. I'm so glad I don't associate with those monkeys. However I'm grateful that I inherited some colour in my skin and the athletic abilities. Other than that I'm glad I was brought up around my mother's side of the family, though I ain't praised for my golden skin like I am around my father's family. Thought Tellise
...
Zipporah knocked on the office door, awaiting for a 'come in'. Instead the door opened immediately to her father grinning cheekily. He picked her up and swung her around and kissed her cheek.
"Put me down!" She laughed, wiggling in her father's arms. He put her down and pulled out a chair for her to sit in, before taking a seat next to her.
"Nice if you to finally join us." The head teacher, Mrs. Dun chuckled briefly. "Fortunately you have passed Maths and English in order to be in the gifted program, however you will be working with five other students and will have to do their chosen subject. For example your specialty is sports, so everyone has to do sports and pass it. If someone else's speciality was music you would have to do music as well and pass it, so you understand?" Mrs. Dun stated.
