Jaesung has been gloomy all week, not that anyone noticed. People were too caught up with themselves; selfish, thought the melancholy boy. He didn't care that they didn't care about him, but wondered how the majority of these students are so self-centered all the time and expressive with it.
Jaesung clutched onto his chest, out of breath, desperately needed a rest. Physical education really wasn't his thing especially running. He wanted, no needed her by his side to encourage him before he gave up in the pits of the class's laughter. Then suddenly, very sudden indeed that he could've sworn his heart stopped completely for a millisecond. He was shocked to be hit with the warm fresh smell of chocolate and honey that hit his nose and snatched away his senses. As he turned towards the scent he saw Zipporah in her PE kit, but he knew he was dreaming, but why of her and right now in this moment of time he had no clue.
"Hey Zipporah, nice of you to join us."Greeted the teacher.
Jaesung was overly relieved that he wasn't going crazy and that it was truly her. Something in him sparked, making him extremely happy when both their eyes met. She nervously smiled before joining in the warmup session.
...
Breaktime came and Jaesung read a book until Zipporah came outside. He had several things he wanted to ask her."Personally, I think she wants to be friends with her, because she's more popular than her." Said a random girl, whom Jaesung didn't know but recognised the voice from when T's friends bullied him.
Jaesung decided not to ease drop any longer and rather head over to Zipporah. What made him stop in his efforts was when Zipporah and Telise hugged. From then his gut wanted twist and turn u til he physically puked, but it didn't, instead his palms began to sweat as anger radiated off him. He turned on his heels and headed off to the school library.
She's changing, he thought to himself. No, she's changed, he finally concluded as he took a seat on a chair.
"Hey kid! Why the frown?" an elder man, whom was dressed formally, asked.
Jaesung looked up, a tad confused in whether the man was speaking to him or not. The man, who was presumably a teacher of some sort, crouched down to Jaesung's level to show that he was directing his question at him.
"No reason," Jaesung lied, not caring about how guilty the little fib made him feel.
The grey-haired caucasian looked at him disapprovingly, knowing something was up with the boy, but decided not to waste his time. The old man left and continued his way. Jaesung sulked as he felt his heart sting as it sunk into the pits of his body. He knew that something bad was going to come from this. He just hoped he was wrong.
