The Octavus.
That's what they called them. Eight leaders with unique gifts and magical abilities passed on to the most special people. Unique gifts that they use to lead the Kingdom Of Miror. The Kingdom in charge of every continent in the world.
The magic they wield has always been extraordinary. Spells and wondrous charms they are able to utter make the Octavus the powerful leaders they always have been. No other wizards could hold a candle to the power they possess.
When the first child of the king is born the universe births seven others. The ancient Tapestry provides directions to these seven children and they are taken away from their families to live, learn and grow with their future king as his most trusted advisors.
These leaders begin their lives born in luxury, and are taught the complex knowledge that all leaders need. They were treated like royalty, one of the Octavus actually do come from royalty. The First and oldest born from The Rex.
The Rex. The oldest royal Octavus and the one who takes over the throne. He or she is gifted with leadership.
The Beltor.The one gifted with the power of battle strategy. He or she lives as a warrior, as they apply their strategies to win wars and bring peace to the kingdom.
The Captiosus. The intellect of the group. Gifted with the power to answer complex queries on anything in the field of mathematics and science. With a mind greater then all the philosophers in all the kingdom, he or she brings this knowledge to help the kingdom grow intellectually.
The Curant. He or she possesses the kindness and warmth any kingdom needs. They are kind and compassionate, and overlooked but still an important part of any functional society.
The Fectum. A most extraordinary creator of resources that have help in wars and everyday life in Miror. It was one of the Fectum who created the Praeo, a weapon of mass destruction. It was taken and destroyed after killing over two thousand men in only one hour.
The Medicus. The healer of all diseases. It is The Medicus who found the ancient cure for many malignant diseases and it is them who leads and works with doctors all over the world. The healer to the King himself.
The Temperet. Music has always been an important part of Miror's culture. In a world of evil and darkness it is the sound of music that brings the people to dance. The Temperet performs for people of the highest social standing and is able to play any instrument with no lessons needed.
Finally, The Partum. The one with the gift of creativity. A literary genius and one able to wield a paintbrush like a sward. The one who writes every document, every speech paints every painting hung on the ancient grand castle walls.
And the Partum just happens to be Evelyn Biron.

Repeating the words like a mantra, Evelyn twirled my nob pen around her black locks looking down at the piece of parchment in front of her.
She was seriously lacking in inspiration, which is stupid because the whole point of Evelyn was to be a never-ending fountain of creativity.
Gifted is what people usually call her. but now milked dry would be much more appropriate.
Like all of the Octavus, she has lived in the palace all her life. Admittedly she can't really remember much about childhood, but she could remember writing and painting
even then in the orphanage she was left at . Gifted with creativity made her stand out more than sge probably wanted to.
