The night came quick. Before long the laughing and conversation in the dining hall became much more dull and the young Octavus' needed a break from the elder ones and the formalities they had to follow in their presence.
They laughed slightly buzzed from the drinks form dinner as they made their way down to the lake. Sirona jumped on Janaks back, whilst Adeline did the same to Lerin.
"Faster! Faster!" Sirona shrieked as the others guffawed.
"S'not my fault your so bloody heavy!" Janak responded earning a slap from Sirona.
"It's not my fault you have chicken arms." She retorted laughing hysterically as he plumped her down of the grassy marsh by the lake.
The others followed lying down on the grass together. Nathaniel pulled Evelyn to sit next him before resting his head on her lap and he laid down horizontally.
"The lake looks lovely today." Adeline commented placing her head on Sironas shoulder.
"I can throw you in if you want." Janak nodded his head towards the mass of water urging her to comply.
"Not before you." Zana taunted as Janak continued to grin. "Scared?" He rolled his eyes ingnoring his comment whilst lying down on the grass.
Almost effortlessly he lifted his hand towards. the lake and with a flick of his wrist a splurge of water lifted and sprayed the three girls as they shrieked and screamed profanities.
"JANAK!" They all screamed before following his actions, using their magic to spray the boy ten times harder. His eyes widened as the bubble of water fell to his head with a splash he was soaked through still wearing a shocked expression.
"Ok, I deserved that you bitches." He shook the water out of his hair and looked over at Zana. "Up for a little fun tonight?" He wiggled his eyebrows seductively at her causing them all to laugh.
"Keep it in your pants Fortem." Zana rolled her eyes as she rested her head on the grass.
"Fine." He responded before darting his eyes to the other girls."Any of you?" He nodded his head towards them for them to shake there head and mumble a few 'as ifs'.
"Alright." He snapped bitterly. "I'll just go find a horny girl from school." He taunted getting up from the grass and rubbing down his trousers.
"They'd have to be much more than horny to want to sleep with you."Evelyn laughed. "You might need to pay them."
"I'd pay him not to sleep with me." Nathaniel laughed.
Huffing at his friends teasing Janak stumbled down the hill towards the school dorms mumbling something about friends and bullies.
"What an idiot." Zana glared at his retreating figure before getting up herself. "I'm off to bed, anyone else?"
"Me too, i'm exhausted." Adeline yawned stretching her arms up.
"Same." Sirona sighed rubbing her eyes like a child.
"We all might as well go." Lerin suggested getting up himself. "We have classes tomorrow."
The teens made their way up towards the castle still laughing and chatting like they always did.
They were close. The best of friends, any one of them would die for any other without any hesitation. That's what made them so strong.
They got to Their wing in no time at all, all young Octavus' share a corridor with the Rex in the biggest room at the end of course. The girls on one side and the boys on the other. Adeline, Sirona, Zana and Lerin stopped at each of their doors and said goodnight as Evelyn , Cayden and Nathaniel made their way deeper into the corridor.
