Flashback (Nora's POV)
I smiled as me and Steven ran along the beach. It was our 6th birthday. Laughing, I tapped Steven on his shoulder. "Tag! You're it!" I exclaimed, before we both started to laugh. "Oh Steven!" Pearl sing-songed as she walked towards us with a carefully wrapped present in her hands. "I got this for you!" Steven ripped open the wrapping paper to see a cookie cat.

"Thanks Pearl! It looks delicious! But what about Nora?" Pearl sneered "What about her?" Before she walked off. We looked at eachother before Steven split the cookie cat in two and gave a piece to me.
I was 7 years old and alone with Pearl. As she handed a broom to me, I looked at her confused. "What's this for?" "You will sweep the porch, and if you don't finish by the time Steven is back, you're going to bed without dinner." I sighed, before going outside. Later that night, Amethyst gave me some chips that she had because she had noticed that I didn't eat dinner that night.
I was 8 years old, and Steven had caught a cold. But when I asked Pearl how I could help, she only looked at me and said: "By staying as far away from him as possible." That afternoon, Garnet taught me about natural remedies for illnesses, and when I tried one on Steven, he got better the next day.
I was 9 years old, and Garnet was on a mission. When I found out that I had a fever, Pearl barely glanced at me before going into her room in the temple. Steven and Amethyst kept me company throughout the night.
I was 10 years old, and Pearl was telling Steven about the latest mission the Crystal Gems had went on. When I asked her about it, she led Steven away. That night, Garnet and Amethyst told me everything, including when Pearl got stuck in a bear trap some person had left there.
I was 11 years old, and Pearl was teaching Steven astronomy. After I joined them, Pearl ended the lesson right then and there. When I told my dad about what happened, he immediately signed me up for public school, even though Pearl was against it.
I was 12 years old, and I was crying because a boy had beaten me up. Amethyst was in her room, and Pearl didn't even look at me before warping away. After Steven comforted me, Garnet asked my dad to sign me up for martial arts lessons. The next week, I broke the boy's arm.
