The one day that changed her life.

Chapter 2: The phone call

I woke up on a usual Monday morning, I got dressed into my Roxy bikini and went down to Tama beach to go for a surf since I had no work.

I jumped into the water and paddled out. I dove under the water and washed my tired face in the salty sea water. I waited out with other surfers. A wave grew over the horizon; I called mine and started paddling to catch it. I caught the wave, standing up I felt the wind blowing past me, I shacked my brown hair out of my face. At the end of the wave I jumped onto my board.

I heard my name being called from the shore so I started paddling back. I caught a wave back into shore. I walked up onto the warm sand and it was my friend Amy. She was waiting for me to go shopping, I totally forgot about it.

"Amy I am so sorry I will throw my shorts and shirt on and we will go!"

"Ok." Amy said happily.

We went up to my car at my apartment block. Amy and I got into my car and I turned on the engine and drove to the Westfield at Bondi. Amy hated shopping so we made it quick so we could get to the food court faster.

"What do we want to get? Sushi, pizza, Mexican.....?" Amy asked me.

"SUSHI!" I replied. We both loved sushi so we went to order then sat down.

After we ate, we walked back to the car. We both jumped in. As was about to start the engine my phone started to ring. It was a blocked phone number.

"Hello, Jessica Khan speaking, who is this?"

"Hi Jessica this is Hoppo. I am calling because I would like to congratulate you on receiving the traineeship for this coming season."

"Oh thank you so much! I am so thank full and I will make you proud!"

"No problem Jessica, please come down to the Bondi Tower tomorrow to collect your uniform and you can meet all the boys."

"Ok, I will see you tomorrow"

I hang up the phone.

"OMG Amy I got the job!" I said to Amy with such excitement.

"That is great Jess I am so excited for you!"

I started driving. I dropped Amy off at her place and drove home. When I arrived at my apartment I walked in and turned on the TV, since it was Monday night Bondi Rescue was on so I watched the show and I thought to myself, I will be there, I will be working there, today is only the start of my new life.

I went to grab dinner at the local fish and chips shop. I ran into Deano there and told him the good news.

"That is great Jessica! We will be happy to have you and if you have any trouble with any of the boys let me know and I will put them into line." He said in a funny tone.

"Thanks Deano, I will see you tomorrow." My order got called so I went a got my food and left.

I arrived back at homeand had my dinner, then went to bed, I couldn't sleep being so excited but then eventually drifted away.
