The one day that changed her life.

Chapter 10: The surprise that closed the deal.

I walked into the breeze way and around the corner to see my mum. I ran up to her and hugged her so tightly, since I had been away and been so busy with my new life I had not had anytime to catch up with her.

"Why? How?" I asked my mum in total shock.

"Jesse called me and said you had been sick and missing everyone at home." She said as she looked into my eyes and as usual she started crying. I hugged her again and just felt complete. I then walked over to Jesse and hugged him while whispering into his ear "Thank you.". He didn't reply but I knew he just wanted me to be happy. I then went to get my horse and had such a good ride after being sick and having my 2 favourite people with me made me feel amazing.

While I was untacking I was trying to get my saddle off but I was still weak after being sick so Jesse came over and took it off for me, as he was reaching up for it I stood next to him and asked how he got my mums phone number to call her, he replied with "I sort of sneakily got into your phone, also I saw the mass amount of photos you have of me haha." I walked away and immediately changed my phones password, the reason I had all of those numbers was from my fan days when he was my favourite lifeguard. I soon delated all of them and decided I don't need those Instagram photos when I can take my own of him and me.

We then all walked up to the car park and I thought this was the part when I said goodbye to mum, but Jesse planned for us to have lunch so I decided to go in the car with mum since I wanted a car trip when I could trust my mothers driving haha. Jesse wasn't to bad but guys are never always on point while driving haha. We pulled up at a cafe and got out, while walking in mum and I had beat Jesse there so we walked in, just the 2 of us, she came over and said:

"Hun, Jesse is a keeper. For him to find my number and call me to come and see you is lovely. Not many guys would call their whatever your status is mother and talk to them, they are usually scared of us so he is very sweet for doing this." She looked into my eyes when she said this because she wanted to make a statement. I knew she was right but I was scared to let this mean we were together. I had some really bad relationships in my teen years and I never felt honest with any of them about my life. But Jesse was so different to them, he cared about all the right things for me and he cared about me.

We sat down and then a few minutes after Jesse came in and sat down.

"Why did you take so long?" I asked him thinking he probably got lost.

"I had to pick something up on the way." He pulled out a horseland bag (horseland is a shop for horse riding gear and horse gear). I opened it and it was this diamond belt I had wanted for so long but never had the money to buy it.

I looked into his gorgeous blue eyes, "Thank you so much Jesse." I took my old belt off and put my new one on. I looked down at it like it was a diamond ring, I knew now that I had to commit to this guy before it was to late. We ate lunch and for most of it mum and Jesse talked and I just watched in happiness to see them get along so well. We finished eating and walked out.

"Thank you for coming out mum, love you so much" I hugged her and stepped back as she went over to Jesse.

"Jesse thank you for calling me, it was so lovely to meet you and take care of my girl." She gave him a big hug and walked to her car and drove off.

I walked over to Jesse and hugged him, I just felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have found a guy that did something like he did today for a girl like me.

"Thank you Jesse." I looked up into his eyes and just stood with him.

"Anything for you." We walked to his ute but before we parted to each side to get in I kissed him. We then walked around and got in, I turned to him and said "Jesse can I ask you something?" he was trying to put the car keys into the ignition, "Yep what is it?" he didn't really look at me while replying because he was struggling. "Do you want to be my boyfriend?" he suddenly looked at me, he stared deeply into my eyes, the suspense was sort of killing me inside because I was thinking oh shit he doesn't want to, this is so awkward. He replied "I already thought we were haha" he looked at me with this funny face and I just laughed because I felt like such an idiot but I was happy that meant we were. He finally turned on the car and we started driving. We crossed the harbour bridge and looked back at where my home used to be, it still was but then I looked in front of me at the city, at Bondi, this was my new home and my new life and where I plan to make my life amazing.
