Chapter 16: Our new story

After walking out of that hospital the relationship between Jesse and me was different. We had this undeniable trust and bond, we had experienced things together and now we were ready to take on the world. As we were driving home the bright lights that surrounded the car windows looked like a new world, a bright and vibrant city that engulfed our souls with a young spirit. Having what felt like a near death experience made me feel so lucky to have the life I had, someone who had a unending love for me and whatever I did was there holding my hand.

Walking into the home we had made together it was so warm and brought me peace. Being in the mood of there could be no tomorrow I walked straight to my laptop, which was sitting on the couch. Opening the screen I went straight to the website of adventure. The adrenalin filled my blood as I typed in Jesse's name and mine. Just one click and it was the start of the adventure I had always wanted. Jesse came over and asked me what I was doing; I told him "going on an adventure." he looked confused, trying to concept what I meant. He saw the website I was on and what was there and immediately smiled with excitement. The printer started to rustle and out came the tickets, the tickets to our one-month of adventure in BALI!!! Being winter Jesse and I had time off like most of the other lifeguards unless they were all year around. Jesse and I were seasonal mainly because we both know in winter that's when the best waves are! Being in the mood of excitement and adventure (new favourite word) I booked the flight for the next day, no time to think about it and cheap flights trying to book the last seats WOOHOO! Rushing and packing my bikinis, jumpsuits, shorts and basically anything beach weather since I know that is where we will be spending all of our time. As I packed both of our bags since I know what Jesse likes he went and packed the boards that he wanted and the one that I can use.

Rushing around the place like crazy people we finally finished packing and getting ready as well as letting people know we were going we hit bed around 1am, having to wake up at 4am since our flight was at 7am. Both of us were early risers in all amount of sleep aloud so we were ready and boosting to hit the Bali bound adventure.

Walking out the door, looking back I had no regrets of what we were about to do. Pulling it shut and looking to my love I knew this was the right thing for both of us.
