Chapter 11: My blessing

Jess's POV

We drove through my street, parked outside my apartment building. I looked over at him into his eyes that colour still put me in a trance. I asked him if he wanted to come inside, "Sure thing!" we both got out of the car at the same time. We walked into my building, into the elevator and up onto my floor then opened the door into my apartment. I closed the door behind him as he walked in. I walked over to him, there was a feeling that was such a pull towards him, and we came closer to each other. We kissed; it felt so passionate, so real and true, so right. The kiss went on, we moved over near the couch, I had never really been in such an intimate situation before, but Jesse directed me like we were a movie. We lied down, he was on top of me and made me feel safe. The kissing ended and he looked at me straight in the eyes, he looked so pure and true like this was his first relationship that he felt himself.

Jesse's POV

She looked so calm, I felt like she was so happy to be with me and felt safe. I didn't want to push it to far so I pushed up off the couch and sat, "what's wrong?" she asked me as if I didn't like her in that way. "Nothing is wrong babe I just don't want to do this now, I want it to be special, I have always rushed these things." she looked at me with the most gorgeous face. "I have to go, we have work early tomorrow morning" I smiled at her and she agreed with me. I walked to the door and we kissed, I opened the door and felt sad already leaving her.

Jess's POV

He walked out of that door and I felt so sad to see him leave. I walked over to my fridge and pulled out some left overs from the other night, I sat on my couch and turned on the TV and funnily enough Bondi rescue was on. I started out with Jesse and just seeing his face made me smile and feel so happy. There was a shot of him and me in the rhino, both smiling and laughing, I took a photo and sent it to him with a winky face and said we are being watched. I kept on watching and just smiled, watching my life on TV made me so happy.

I woke up, rolled over and yet another day and another hurricane came through my hair. I pulled my self out of bed and found my uniform stacked under clothes from the weekend, probably hasn't been washed but oh well haha. I started walking down to the beach, I was on the earliest shift so the sun was rising and it was the most beautiful sunrise I had ever seen. I stopped in at Bondi HQ for a juice since I don't believe that caffeine and energy should come from Coffee it should come from natural juices. I kept walking down to the tower and drank my juice which was yummy haha. I opened the door and saw Maxi sitting there with his ear phones in I sneaked up on him and jumped on to him, he completely lost it, it was hilarious I couldn't stop laughing. Jesse walked in and he gave me the biggest hug and kiss on the check from the behind, "ew you two stop it!" maxi looked away being childish as usual. Jesse and I laughed at him, he had a girlfriend from Bondi as well so we always saw those two together.

We found out where on the beach we were working and headed out, I was out on the rhino with Glick one of the new trainees. We had become really good mates over the time he was here, we were both around the same age so we had fun together, as well as he was an amazing photographer so he took pics of me and my horses for free, bonus! "So Glick should we do another photo shoot this weekend?" I looked over at him with a smirk on my face. "Sure why not, I don't have any money anyways so whats another free photo shoot?" we both laughed.

I saw a man out the back of the rip, he was struggling and I thought out of me and glick who should go out, I decided I needed to do a rescue so I took my shirt off and picked up the board and headed out, I paddled out to this man, he was in his 30s probably and looked like a good swimmer but something was wrong. "Hey are you ok mate?" he looked up at me and I saw in his face so much pain, "no I need some help please! I have hurt my hips!" he said with a screech in his voice. I paddled over to him and helped him onto the board trying my hardest not to hurt his hips, but the main pain would be coming in with the waves. I tried my hardest and got him in, during the waves was the most horrific sound, I have never heard so much pain before. When I got him in we called for an ambo and he got taken away.

My day was over and so was Jesse's so we both headed up to Lush for a drink and something to eat. We walked hand in hand at a slow pace since we were both so tired. It was a busy day and we both had no time to spend together until now, so we sat down and just stared at each other. I couldn't believe that a man like this was sitting in front of me, someone who made me feel so special and warm inside. "I have been through so much in my life and for someone to come along, who understands is a true blessing, and you are my blessing." I told Jesse and he looked at me like never before. He looked like he was about to cry but in a happy way. I could never imagine what happened next.
