I walk into star labs to start the daily work. At the door I'm greeted by my best friend Cisco.
"hey Cait" Cisco says with a smile
I can't help but smile back, every time I see Cisco something inside me sparks. "Hey Cisco" I say "Any metahuman attacks lately?" I ask
"Not that I've seen" Cisco replied "but I was thinking, What if we took a break today? And went for ice cream or something? I mean Barry and wells are on Earth-2 taking care of some business." he said
My heart jumps a beat. Internally I'm screaming but I keep it cool and just nod "sure, I'd like that" I say with a smile
Cisco smiles a bit "ok. Come on" he said and walked towards the doors
I nod and quickly follow him, catching up I walk beside him as we exit Star Labs and head towards the ice cream shop.
Cisco opens the ice cream shop door and holds it for me. "thanks Cisco." I say with a smile as I walk inside
"you're welcome Cait" Cisco says as he follows me in.
We walk up to the counter and order our ice cream then sat down at a table.
"So Cait, you seeing anyone yet?" Cisco asks "Just out of curiosity." he adds.
I tense up slightly but hide it "No, actually I'm not." I say
"Well that's ok, I'm not either" Cisco says "You know, we both need to get ourselves back out into the dating world. After Ronnie and Gypsy died in the Particle Accelerator explosion we have both closed ourselves in" he says.
I nod a bit "yeah, I guess we do." I say "or we'll end up lonely our whole lives" I add with a chuckle
Cisco chuckles a bit "yeah we will" he says. "Well do you see anyone here that you like?" he asks
Caught off guard completely I look at him "Yeah" I say
Cisco looks at me "Who is it?" he asks then looks around.
Still off guard I smile a bit "You" I say then quickly realize what just happened. I quickly stand up and run out of the building blushing like mad
"wait cait!" I hear Cisco call after me as he stands up. And quickly follows me out the doors.
My heart is pounding and I keep running. I can't believe I said that, now he knows that I like him 'Great Job Caitlin.' I think to myself as I run
Cisco finally catches up to me "Caitlin wait." he said out of breath as he gently grabbed my shoulder
I turn and look at him but avoid eye contact "I- I-" I stutter not knowing what to say. My body is filled with emotions.
"Cait... Its ok." Cisco says. "But you know we can't be together." he adds
"I know. But every time I'm around you I get this feeling inside me. I can't stop smiling, and I never want to leave... I can't help but think about what that feeling is." I say as I hide my face
"Is it love?" Cisco asks as he keeps his hand gently on my shoulder
I gulp a bit and slowly nod.
Suddenly we both tense up when we hear the sound of a building starting to fall.
