I hold Cisco's hand gently as a machine beeps steadily. We are at the hospital and Cisco has been in critical condition and in a coma for a whole week.

'will this be how the rest of our life together is spent? In a hospital with him on life support? That's not how this was supposed to go.' I think silently to myself as I stare at the monitors that continue to beep steadily.

A nurse walks in and checks Cisco's vitals then looks at me.

"ma'am? You look exhausted and hungry. I think you should get some rest" she said softly "we will keep a close eye on him and let you know if anything happens" she said

I shake my head softly "I'm fine. But thanks. I'd just rather stay next to him." i say

The nurse nods unsurely before leaving the room.

I sigh softly and look at Cisco. I gently bring his hand to my face and kiss it softly "I will never leave your side" I say softly even though I know he can't hear me.

The whole time he's been in the hospital I haven't slept and I've barely eaten.

I can't Lose Cisco, I've lost someone I loved before and I can't deal with that again.

Cisco is everything to me. If I lost him there would be no point in living anymore. He truly makes my heart whole.

I look around the room then see a sign that seems to speak to me. It feels like a dagger is stabbed through my heart

'When you have that genuine love for someone and they are your source of happiness, they become your drug' the sign reads.

That is such a true statement and if Cisco's my drug, then I'm always high. I think about him constantly and he's always in my heart and mind.

Suddenly the monitor starts to beep rapidly and he goes into shock. My heart drops and I press the button that alerts the nurse.
