Me and Cisco looked to our right only to see a large apartment building collapsing. We looked at each other and I inhaled, already knowing what Cisco was thinking I quickly let my other side, Killer Frost have partial control and froze the rest of the wall of the building to stop it from falling.
I quickly took full control again then ran over to the building to help people out.
Cisco followed me quickly and we got everyone out just as the police showed up.
I looked around "What caused that?" I asked more to myself than anything
Cisco looked at me "I have no idea. I don't see anyone." he said
A few hours later - Cisco's POV
After hours of searching we still hadn't been able to trace who collapsed the building so we just went back to star labs.
I was still processing what Caitlin had told me. She was in love with me? I didn't know how to process that. Me and her both know we can't be together, after all, our families hated each other. Technically we weren't even allowed to be friends.
I sighed as I knew since my family was going to visit soon, I had to do the hardest thing in my life... Tell Caitlin that I couldn't be her friend because my family didn't want it.
I saw Caitlin walking down the hallway of star labs towards her lab. "wait Caitlin." I called.
She turned around and looked at New with a small smile "Yeah Cisco?" she asked
Damn it.. How am I going to do this? She smiles just by looking at me. She's my best friend. But... I have to. "Caitlin... I..." I start then inhale "We can't be friends anymore." I say then look down instantly regretting it.
Caitlin looked at me and her smile faded "W-what?" she asks in shock as I can see tears fill her eyes
"We can't be friends" I say again with a small gulp. I hate this. I hate it so much and I wish I didn't have to do it.
"Cisco.... You Promised you would always be there for me..." she says as tears start to roll down her face. "why- why can't you be my friend anymore?" she asks
"Because, my family is coming to town. And they don't want me to even be friends with you" I say as I fight back my own tears
"Can't we just fake not being friends?" she asks desperately
"We would have to avoid each other Caity... I'm sorry. But this is the best" I say then walk off
Caitlin's POV
I stand there and watch him walk off. I feels like my heart was just ripped from my chest. I feel tears start to trickle down my face. I quickly turn around and run to my lab. I shut the door behind me and slump against it as small tears roll down my face.
"How could he do this to me? He promised he would always be my friend." I whisper to myself.
