I get out of the chair and walk over to Barry. I hug him with a small sigh "I'm so happy you're here" I say
Barry gently hugs me back "I would have come sooner but we got caught up on earth-2. How's he doing?" He says then asks
I sigh a bit "Not great. He went into shock a few minuetes ago and hes still in a coma" I say
Barry gently pulls back from the hug and looks at me "Caity, he's strong. He'll get through this. And so will you" he says
"but what if he doesn't Barry? What if-" I start but Barry cuts me off
"cait, don't think about that stuff. Keep your hopes up" he says
I sigh and just nod a bit "I've been trying. But I'm so scared Barry" I say
"I know you are. But he will get through it" he says
We talk for a few more minuetes before walking over to Cisco's bed and sitting down.
Barry is almost like an older brother to me. He's been my friend for years and he knows exaxtly how to help me.
After a few more hours of waiting, Barry turns to look at me "Caity, you should get some sleep. You look exhausted." He says
I shake my head a bit "I can't sleep until he's better. And I won't." I say
Barry sighs a bit "Caitlin. He would want you to keep yourself healthy. If he was awake right now he would probably tell you to eat some food and get some sleep." He says
"Barry. I said no. Now please. Just leave me alone" I huff as I keep my gaze on Cisco
Barry sighs and shakes his head gently but goes silent.
I start to zone out as I look at Cisco. My mind goes blank and I dont really feel anything. All I can hear is my heart beat, my breathing and the slow ticking of the clock.
After what seems like hours I can hear someone saying my name.
"Caitlin!" Barry says as he gently shakes me
I snap out of it and look at him "What?" I ask.
"I'm heading out for a few minutes. Do you want me to get you anything to eat or drink from Big Belly Burger?" He asks
"um.. I'm good. Thanks though" I say even though food sounds really good right now.
Barry raises a slight brow but nods "Alright. I'll be back" he says then walks out of the room.
I sigh at the sudden empty feeling of the room.
