Scarlett
Nikki and I arrived at Little Prince and it looked unbelievable. There's an amazing written neon sign on the wall directly behind where we were seated. Nikki looked like she was going to burst from excitement. She really enjoys her job. I mean who wouldn't; she gets free food and drinks for two any time she goes to a restaurant even if she's not reviewing them. Score.
"We've been expecting you Miss Ellis, here are your drink menus," the waitress said with a megawatt smile, "I'll be right back with a few 'little bites' samplers for you guys to try." She sauntered off in the direction of the kitchen to no doubt warn everyone of Nikki's arrival.
"This is so cool, it's like you're famous or something," I giggle at Nikki, who just sticks her tongue out at me while perusing the drinks menu. The waitress returned with a large sample platter, placing it on the table between us and took our drink order. As she turned toward the bar, a guy stopped her on her way. She looked nervously up at him then indicated toward our table. "Shit Nikki, you've been recognized." I joked. Nikki threw her head back, a real belly laugh escaping her mouth as she reached for some of the delicious looking food in front of us.
"Yum, oysters, yes. And it wouldn't be the first time I've been recognized Letty. Usually it's just a little less obvious than that," She says, a small smile playing across her lips, "Not everyone that recognizes me is as good looking as that guy though."
I turned to look at the guy that stopped the waitress. He had walked with her to the bar and was now talking to the bartender, glancing at our table again. I turned back to Nikki as a heat came into my cheeks at being caught staring.

"So, Ladies, how was everything? Can I bring you anything else?" The waitress asked politely.
"Oh, everything was just lo...," Nikki started to reply.
"Thank you, Michelle, I'll take it from here. Good evening, ladies," a strong accented male voice sounded from behind the waitress, "I trust Michelle has taken good care of you both. May I get you anything else? Tea, coffee?" he asked.
Nikki said something in reply that I didn't hear; I was too busy looking at the guy. He looked really familiar, but I couldn't think why. He laughed a little at something Nikki had said, a gorgeous sound which promptly brought me back to reality, a smile appearing on my face. "We should be expecting a good review in the paper and online hopefully then, Miss Ellis?"
"Please, call me Nikki, and yes, you can definitely expect good reviews. This is my friend Scarlett by the way," Nikki indicated in my direction, "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name." Nikki's cheeks turning slightly pink, blushing from embarrassment at not doing the proper introductions.
He laughed again, "Ah my apologies, I didn't mention it actually. I'm Noah. Noah Hayes. The new owner of 'Little Prince'. Girls night out while on the job huh; two birds, one stone?" A cheeky smile on his face.
"Busted," Nikki giggled, "Yeah, your restaurant was top of my review pile and Scarlett was well overdue for a night off."
"Left the husband at home to fend for himself, hey?" Noah inquired, a look I couldn't quite interpret flickered in his eyes as they met mine.
"Um, n-no actually," I stammered, fidgeting with the rings on that particular finger, "No husband at home, just a daughter. Not on her own of course, my brother is babysitting." I replied nervously. Why am I nervous? Then it hit me like a shopping trolley. This was the cute guy I quite literally ran into a few weeks ago. "I think we've met before actually. I tried to knock myself out with your groceries." A small, nervous laugh escaping me as a glint of something appeared in his already sparkling blue eyes.
