Chapter Five

"Kassadie?! Kassie?! Please wake up! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" I heard Matt tell me. And he seemed really sad. Why is he sad? Oh ya.. I have to die.. I thought sarcastically. I opened my eyes and looked at his face, he was crying. I felt all of the sadness in me come to the surface, and I cried with him. I hugged him and he held me. We sat there crying for what seemed like forever, "I thought I might've lost you." He told me.

"You will never loose me. I'm here. I will always be here for you! It's just so much to take in." I told him, being totally honest. "But it's something I have to know." I told him, but there was still something I didn't understand. "But how am I a werewolf? Or a mate to one.. My mom isn't a wolf. Wolf isn't in my blood, in fact, I didn't even know it was in anybody's blood. I have been living my life thinking it is a myth." I told him, hoping he would know. Know why I am a mate to him I mean.

"Honey, that is something for me to tell you." My mom said, walking into the room, she got a chair and sat across from me, tears running down her face. Dang this is serious. "Ok. You see, you were left on my doorstep when you were a baby. Maybe even less than one month old. We never found your parents. But I hope you know, I love you, and I will always be here! I am just so sor--" she said, but I cut her off.

"Don't y-you d-dare say you are s-sorry." I cried, "You lied to m-me! My wh-whole life has been a f-freakin lie?! Is t-that funny to y-you?!" I yell/cried. She put her hand down on my leg. But I moved away, "Don't touch m-me! Just g-get out!!" I yelled, but she didn't move, "NOW!! J-just l-leave I c-can't even l-look at y-you right n-now!" I said turning into Matt's chest to cry even more. I cried until I had a huge headache. I looked back to make sure my mom was gone, then I got up and went into my bathroom for some ibuprofen.

"Don't you think you were a little harsh?" Matt asked standing up walking over to me, "She might not be the one who have birth to you, but she's been there the whole time you've been growing up."

"I know, I was just in shock." I told him.

"That doesn't mean you can--" I cut him off.

"Don't you dare lecture me." I told him crawling into my bed, "Not now. Not when I need comfort."

"Ok. Just expect it later." He said grinning, and I knew he wouldn't bring it up again.

"Well are you just going to stand there looking like a idiot?" I asked him as I patted the bed next to me, so he knew to sit down.

"Nope" he said laying next to me, but on top of the blankets. I just stared into his eyes, feeling better already. He stroked my arm until I felt my eyes get heavy so I couldn't look into his gorgeous green eyes anymore. I was just about asleep when he kissed my forehead, whispered "I love you", and got off the bed.

Freezing! Soo. Cold.. I thought as my teeth were chattering. I opened my eyes to see what was so freezing. There was something in my room! "It" was looking through my closet, and my window was wide open! Even though I live in Miami, it felt like Antarctica! I kept looking at the figure in my closet. I wonder what they're looking for. I don't have anything they'd want. I thought, thinking of everything that was in my closet. "AH-CHUU!!" I sneezed. Crap crap crap crap! I thought, Really?! Sneezing right now?! Like for real!! The "figure" came up to me at a unnatural speed for a human, wait.. Is that Austin?!?!?!

"Hey Kassadie. So, you wanna break up with me? You think that's cool?" He asked me. Maybe he is drunk? This isn't good.

"Umm--" he cut me off.

"No, it isn't. What is it? Did you find a better, hotter football player? Well. I'm not okay with breaking up with you. So it's either, you go out with me, or nobody can have you." He said.

"What do you mean nobody can have me?" I asked, utterly confused, and kind of mad. He can't make that choice for me!

"I mean, I will kill you. I would rather die than let you me a mate to a ugly little fur ball." He told me like I was stupid.

"I'm sorry, but I don't like the way you are talking to MY mate." Matt said as he walked through the door, fewww, I guess he didn't leave after all!

"Mind your own business gray." He told Matt. Matt growled and he looked pissed.

"This is my business! Now leave vampire, or I will kill you with my own hands!" Matt yelled.

"Fine. But this isn't the last time you're going to see me. You started a war, expect me to finish it!" Austin yelled back, then he ran and jumped out the window. Wow, what has my life come to? It's perfect and normal, then here comes wolves and vampires. What the heck?! I thought.
