As we walk into the restaurant, which is crowded a bit, we stand in line and wait to get our food. The line is moving slow, but I don't care. I used to come here with my brother, Alex, who unfortunately died in a shootout a few years back. I really want to tell her about my life story now that she has told me hers. I had it rough as a child just like she did. I want her to know me for the good things and not my past. I want the help from a counselor, but I'm too afraid to go due to how I was before I met Jo Elma. As I said before, I was the most wanted criminal at one point until I saw her face and decided to change. I stopped the crime and shit and got my shit together. I think about what will happen in the future now that I have her. My thoughts are interrupted when Jo Elma says that the line is getting smaller. I walk closer to the register and when it finally comes our turn, we walk up and look at the menu.

"Hello, welcome to The Smith!! What would you like?" the cashier says to us with a smile.

"We will both get the Vanilla Bean French Toast and the Filet Mignon platter with candied bacon, please?" I say to the cashier.

"Will that be all for you two?" the cashier says politely.

"Yes sir, that will be with hot chocolate as well and that's it." I say with a smile.

The cashier puts in our order and tells us the price is $148. I pay it all in cash and we sit down to wait for our order. As we wait, I look at her and wonder why she won't leave me. Then I remember. Her exes and some of her family treated her like shit. She wanted out of there because of tragic events in her life. She's so fragile. Her heart is very fragile. She needs me. She needs someone who will treat her like a queen and not like a side bitch. Just like I need her. She needs to know about my past as well. I want her to know. She deserves to know everything. She is the apple to my eye. I'm her knight and shining armor. She's such an amazing woman. I decide to break our silence.

"Soooo, umm, do you like to play video games?" I say to her.

She looks at me with a big smile. I think I hit the jackpot on that question.

"I love video games! Omg they are like so awesome!" she gushes with her smile growing bigger.

"I love them, too! They truly help when you're bored and they are fun to play! You wanna play one when we get home and chill tonight in bed?" I ask her with a smile.

"Yes, please? Thst will take my mind off of things." she says as her smile disappears.

"What's wrong, babygirl?" I ask with concern.

As she opens her mouth to speak, we are interrupted by the cashier calling out our order. We stand up to go grab our order, grab our order, and leave to the car.

"Wow it smells yummy as hell!" she says to me as she skips by me like a child, smiling as she does.

I chuckle and jog after her. We get to the car and she lets me open her door like a gentleman. She gets in and I shut her door. I go around and hand the food to her. She grabs it and I get in and shut my door. We both buckle our seatbelts and I start the car. She looks out the window as I back out and head out. I decide to take her to the hair salon and all that then to the park I went to as a child. I drive to New York Hair Salon nearby. I park the car in a parking spot near the door.

"You ready for your makeover, babe?" I ask her sympathetically.

"Let's do this! I'm so excited! Oh can I do mermaid hair?" she asks me excitedly.

"Of course, my honeysuckle." I say to her with a smile.

"Yay, you're so awesome. I've always wanted to do mermaid hair." she tells me as we head inside the salon.

"Good day, you two! What would y'all like today?" the stylist as the cash register says.

"This is for her. She would like to have her hair done. Do you do mermaid hair?" I ask her politely.

"We sure do! We would love to do her hair like that! She would look amazing with it, if you want me to be honest." the stylist says to me with a smile.

"Yay! Awesome! I'm so ready for this!" Jo Elma says excitedly.

I chuckle as we head to a salon chair. The stylist and Jo Elma head to get her hair washed. I sit by the chair we will be using for her hair style today. She's going to look so beautiful. I pull out my phone and pull up Facebook and wait for her to get back. I'm going to record her getting her hair done live. I pull up the live video and look to see them coming back. Jo Elma sits in the chair and the stylist puts the apron around her. I press the record button and go live.

"Baby, what are you doing?" Jo elma says, giggling.

"Going live so that everyone of my friends can see you having fun getting your hair done and stuff." I tell her with a big smile.

"Oh okay! Yay I'll smile for the people." she says as she smiles big.

I chuckle and record her having fun with her hair getting done. Damn she's so beautiful. I'm so glad to see her smiling. I want that every day. To see her smile. The stylist starts mixing hair dyes and I point the camera her way.

"Oh boy! The hair dyes are being mixed. Are you excited, baby?" I ask her as I bring the camera back to her.

"Yes I am! I'm so excited! My hair is gonna look awesome." she squeals with excitement.

I laugh and see the stylist coming back with teal, blue, and purple hair dyes. I catch Jo Elma's eyes light up with excitement. I smile as she is getting ready to have her hair done. The stylist instructs her to lean her head back. She does as told and the fun starts. The stylist starts with the purple and parts her hair the first time. She puts the dye in like a pro. Jo Elma is smiling the whole time.

"Oh boy! What color is this one?" she asks.

"This is purple first, then blue, then teal, then all over again. You are going to look great." the stylist says to her with a smile.

*2 hours later*

Her hair is now done with the dye and is heading to get everything rinsed out. I go with them recording the whole time. She is smiling the whole way through. She sits in the chair and leans her head back to get the dye rinsed out. The stylist is very careful as she rinses each part out perfectly. Once her hair is rinsed, the stylist puts a towel around her head and we head back to the styling chair. The stylist told me her name is Caitlin. Caitlin removes the towel off of Jo Elma's hair and blow dries it, then straightens it. We finally get done and Jo Elma looks in the mirror. She squeals with excitement and tells Caitlin that she loves her hair. It really suits her. She looks beautiful. I quit recording and post it on Facebook.

"Was that fun, babe?" I ask Jo Elma, chuckling.

"Very fun and I look amazing all because of this amazing stylist. Thank you so much, Caitlin!" she says with a huge smile.

"Anytime, sweetie! I enjoyed every minute with you! Let me ring you up." Caitlin says with a smile.

She rings us up at $200. I pay it in full to her plus a tip. She smiles and takes the money and I tell her keep the change. She nods and tells us to have a great day. We head out and I let Jo Elma in her side of the car. She gets in and I shut her door. I go around and get in my side and shut my door. We both buckle up and we both decide to head to the nail salon next. But before we head in, we eat our meals. After we eat, we get out and head into the nail salon.
