"The Sea of Monsters!" Annabeth exclaimed during Sword Class the next day. "You're sure that's what Grover said?"

The Athena Cabin had made an appointment with me to instruct them. It made sense as I was the best swordsman in the entire camp, but it also gave Annabeth an excuse to talk to me.

"Well, considering that I'm not familiar with the name, yet you are, it would be hard to mishear it as something I don't know right?" I said.

"Well.. yeah, I guess that makes sense." said Annabeth. "it also explains why The Golden Fleece has been missing for so long, and why so many Searchers just don't come back alive! Polyphemus, he considers goats a delicacy!"

I shivered, imagining Grover on a plate with an apple in his mouth as Polyphemus rubbed his hands together hungrily.

It was almost enough to make me lose my appetite..

Almost..

"Stevens!" I exclaimed suddenly, "Adjust your footing about 3 inches, keep a stronger firmer grip or your sword's going to get knocked out of your hand!"

Annabeth sighed. "You really should just get a job here instead of just being a camper.. seriously, you're the best sword instructor here in decades."

"Me.. teaching as a job?" I muttered. "Hmm.. I don't know.."

"We can argue about THAT later.." said Annabeth. "First thing's first.. we need a quest, but no way is Tantalus going to agree to this.."

"We'll propose it during tonight's sing along." I said. "He can't refuse us if everyone's there."

Annabeth stared at me. "By the way.. where did you get all those donuts?"

"Hmmm?" I said as I stuffed another handful of delectable powdered treats into my mouth, from a large bag labeled Monster Donut in hand.  "I  mmmfff stole it from Tantalus's mmmfff office.."

"Oh.. okay.. can I have-?"

I instinctively pulled the bag away from Annabeth, my face stuffed with with the powdery goodness.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. She should know better by now then to ask me to share food with people.

"Anyways what is the Sea of Monsters?" I asked.

"Oh, it's the sea ALL heroes sail on during their Quests." said Annabeth. "Jason, Odysseus,  Even other heroes of differing origins sailed the Sea before without realizing it's true nature, Gilgamesh, You.. "

"Me.. I've sailed it?" I asked.

"It's not recorded by Mortals, but do you remember going on an adventure with Gawain and Galahad where you ran into a Sea Serpent after helping some selkies?"

Selkies were mythical humans who could assume the form of seals underwater.

"Oh.. vaguely." I muttered. "The serpent was pretty rude, and drunk.. it was drinking from Odin's beer storage.."

"Odin is.. wait...? " Annabeth shook her head. "Okay.. lots of questions for you later on that, but more importantly, the Sea of Monsters used to be in the Mediterranean.. but like Olympus, it moved to America, a place right off the coast of Miami.. where there's a huge reputation for disappearing ships and the like.. if you get where I'm talking about.."

I frowned, shaking my head.

"Right, forgot, you're not familiar with the time period. It's a place called the Bermuda Triangle." said Annabeth. "It has a reputation for a lot strange stuff happening, stuff the mortals don't understand thanks to the Mist.. "
