I walked to the group that was huddled together as I saw Drew approaching me. Kyle stood in front of me, making Drew stop in place and looked at us questioningly but then nodded as he understood that we mated. I placed my hand on Kyle's back as he seemed to ease. He looked at me as I nodded and went to his pack leaving me with Drew.
"Watch after her okay Drew?" Kyle asked as he placed his hand on Drew's shoulder. "Yes Alpha I will." Drew replied bowing his head. And with that Kyle took one last glance at me and walked away.
"So you're mates huh?" I chuckled as Drew wiggled his eyebrows. "Yeah I guess we are... I'm Jade," I said as I held out my hand he took it and smiled "I'm Drew your fathers old friend." I smiled as his hands felt like my fathers. He pulled away and handed me his letter. "Um are you sure?" He nodded his head, "I'm sure I'll give you some space I know I needed some." He smiled and then turned to walk to his pack.
I glanced at the paper as my hand trembled.
It's okay I'm here Jade I'll give you the strength to open it and to process it.
You're always here for me thanks friend. I smiled as I sat on a log and opened the letter.
Drew,
If you are reading this then that means my children have made it to you. I miss you my dear friend, I forgot your face for a while, but as I write this I remember it. My heir is Jade, she's my first born. I wish to the goddess that I was their with her. She has special gifts they all do. Jackson is after her, he's always been after her since she was a child. I fear for her safety. But I know she's strong and can handle it. She keeps her fears and her sadness locked away from the world from even herself at times.
I stopped reading it but then my wolf jumped to the surface of my head.

I sighed opening the letter back up and continue reading it.
Jackson kidnapped her when she was three and kept her for three years torched her, starved her, and even trained her with the other rogues. When I found her she was scared and she was controlling her inner wolf. She was afraid to even breath. I'm telling you this because Jackson only gave her up because of one thing he made her a weapon, a weapon he couldn't kill. And if memory serves me right Jackson doesn't give up. He'll be looking for her. Please my dear friend watch after her and my other children. Make sure she knows this. She needs to turn her feelings back on. And also show her her true legacy. Ask Landon if it's okay and if he agrees have them show her everything! I'm always thinking of you. I love you my dear friend. Take care of my blood line. Take care of our key to survival take care of her.

I couldn't help but cry. I stood from the log. My eyes were burning my vision was blurry, my head was flashing back from memory to memory. I was loosing it, until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to find myself staring up into Kyle's eyes. He wiped my tears away and pulled me into his chest as he smoothed down my hair.
He pulled my head away from his chest as he looked at me, "Drew told us... may I see?" He said as he pointed to the letter, I nodded and gave him it as we sat down on the log. I could feel him tense beside me. I figured he got to the part about Jackson. He clutched the paper in his hands, showing that he was angry. As he got done reading it he let out a long deep hollow breath.
He looked towards me and then placed his hand on the side of my face. "I swear to you if he comes up to you and tries anything I will tear him apart!" He snapped not at me but at the slightest thought of Jackson. I placed my head on his shoulder as he started to Okay with my hair. My inner wolf purred and it was to loud to control. I felt his chest puff out as if he was smiling I looked up at him, seeing him bite his lip.
Mark him! He wants it trust me! My wolf begged
I sighed...not yet... not now... my inner wolf seemed to understand as she shut her mouth.
I felt Kyle tense for a few seconds. I looked up at him, "are you okay?" He looked down at me which seemed to make him ease up more. "I can't control him right now... I'm trying but I can't," he sighed trying to look away from me. I sighed, as I knew what I wanted, "then don't let him it's okay." Kyle looked at me with a wanting look, "Are you sure?" I nodded my head and smiled.
Kyle kissed at the crook of my neck as he sunk his canines into my soft spot. It hurt at first but then felt like a kiss that was lasting forever. He pulled away as he kissed my neck making the blood stop. The mark showing on my neck. He smiled and took my hand in his. "Now I could feel your emotions. And if you let me I could see anything or hear anything you want me to," I closed my eyes as I let him hear my
desires.
Mark him! You know you love him! But does he even want me? Only one way to find out!
I quickly opened my eyes and Kyle was smiling at me. "Of course I want you, not only because your my mate, but the minute you stood up to me, the other alphas, and my pack it made me want you." I smiled over whelmed with joy.
Kiss him! He's hot!
He chuckled, and that's when I realized he was snooping in my head. I socked his arm causing him to fall. He looked at me with amusement. I laughed as I walked away.... "that's what you get for being in my head without permission." He laughed and came by my side as we walked to the alphas.
