"Tony, I don't know what to say."

"I love you, Steve." Tony smiled, butterflies in his stomach. He loved Steve so much.

"I want this night to be extra special. I've missed you." He nodded, agreeing with Tony, and slid his phone in his pocket.

Suddenly, Tony's phone began to ring.

incoming call from pete...

"Pete, everything okay?"

"Dad, can you come pick me up from Ned's? I don't feel so good."

"Peter, I'm at dinner with Pops."

"Please, Dad."

"Okay, fine. We're on our way."

Tony put down the phone, and sighed. "We need to go get our son." Steve could tell Tony was devastated. Their night ended so quickly.

"I'm sorry, Tony." Tony had looked forward to this night for weeks. And Steve had ruined it.

They got in the car. It was silent. They pulled up in front of Ned's and Peter jumped in the car. "Hi, guys. Sorry I ruined your night."

"Oh, you didn't," Tony looked to Steve.

...

While Steve was in the shower, his phone kept buzzing. Tony couldn't handle it anymore. He picked up the phone and began reading the texts.

bucky: steve please think this through
bucky: i love you
bucky: we can make this work

Tears streamed down Tony's face. That was it. He had lost his husband.

When Steve walked in the room Tony lost it.

"What kind of shit is this?" Tony yelled, holding up Steve's phone.

"Tony, language! Our son is right there!" Steve said, pointing to Peter sitting on the couch.

"I don't give a fuck, Steve." His voice softened, "Are you cheating on me?" Steve didn't answer.

"Are you fucking cheating on me?" Suddenly, Steve dropped onto his knees, his head in his hands. "I-I didn't m-mean to." He sobbed.

"I knew it."

"I-I'm sorry." Steve was crying so hard, his breathing was deep and heavy.

"Get out," Tony said coldly.

"W-what?" Steve asked, finally looking up from his hands.

"You heard me, Rogers. Get out. I never want to see your face again."

Steve stood up and looked to their son. "Oh my God, Peter." Both Tony and Steve had forgotten Peter was sitting there watching the whole thing.

Peter said nothing. Just sobbed, watching his whole world fall apart.
