"P-peter? What are you doing here?" Tony asked, sitting up from the bed.

"Bucky brought me." Tony looked to Bucky who was standing in the doorway. "Th-thank you." He smiled and left the room. Tony realized he might've been wrong about Bucky.

"D-dad? Is Pops gonna be okay?" Peter saw his left arm was bandaged up, and tears formed in his eyes. "D-did he d-do this?"

"He's gonna be okay, Pete. Everything's going to be fine." Suddenly the door opened, and the doctor walked in.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Johnson. It seems Steve has lost a lot of blood, but it looks like he's gonna be okay." Tony had never felt such relief. "When will he wake up?"

"Not sure. Should be soon, though." Tony thanked the doctor and he left the room.

...

Peter and Tony decided to spend the night, just in case Steve woke up. They were given a blanket and squeezed into a small chair together.

"Hey, Dad?" Peter asked, laying on Tony's chest. "Yes, Pete?"

"Is Pops gonna come home with us."

"I don't know, bud. I don't know."

"I really miss him, Dad."

"I do too."

And with that, they both fell asleep.

...

"I'm sorry sir, he didn't make it," the doctor said as Steve's heart rate flatlined. "No, no this can't be true." He ran to Steve's side, holding his face in his hands. "Don't leave me!"

It was too late. He was gone.

Tony jolted awake, screaming from the nightmare. His breathing became heavy and his heart rate inclined. He was having an anxiety attack.

Tony's loud scream woke Peter up, causing him to fall out of the hospital chair. "Dad! Dad what's wrong?" Peter had never had to deal with one of Tony's attacks before. It was always Steve to the rescue.

"I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do." Peter began to panic, not knowing how to calm down his dad. He ran over to the bed, trying to wake up Steve.

"Pops, please you gotta wake up! It's Dad, he's having an attack." He began to cry, "Pops, please I can't do this."
