One Out Of Two

Chapter Five ! (:

Niall's POV

Well tea seemed sort of awkward if you asked me . Mainly between Annabel and Liam . Why ? Hell if i knew . It was as if though they were afraid to look at each other directly . I decided i was the one who had to get things started here .

"Great tea , Anne ." i said with my mouth full of pasta .

"Thanks Nialler , but i don't appreciate seeing your chewed up pasta in your mouth while you say that . '

she chuckled .

"Yeah Niall have some manners !" Harry fake scolded me . Liam just kept chewing with a smile on his face . Zayn obviously didn't think that was okay .

"So Liam why are you so quiet ? Are you not telling us something ??" questioned Zayn with a devilish grin .

Liam looked.. nervous .. he looked to Annabel quickly before turning back to Zayn .

"No i just don't feel like speaking , thank you ."

"Ah ah ah i saw you look at Anne ! What happened at the store , huh ? Are you too maaaddlllyy in love now ?" teased Zayn .

"There most definitely NOT . " I blurted .

Shit . I'd done it now . I dont even know why i did that ! I mean it's not like we were dating or anything.

Everybody stoppped chewing and stared at me . 

"What ?" questioned Harry . 

"What what ? It's true . They're not ." i shrugged my shoulders and just kept eating until there was nothing left . 

"I'm just gonna go umm shower then ." 

Great job , Niall , great job . Made tea more awkward for everyone .

Annabel's POV 

Whoa . Well after Niall's out burst everybody decided they weren't hungry or they were done eating and had gone into the living room to watch a film . Gracie however pulled me to the bedroom we shared . We decided that we were too lonely in seperate rooms .

"Alright . Spill ." said Gracie 

"Spill what ? I don't know anymore than you do . "

"Oh come on of course you do ! I mean i knew that you and Liam kissed but why was he so awkward about it ?" 

"I don't know ask Liam . I mean it was just a friendly kiss . Not more than 5 seconds and it was just to get Adam away from me  ... right ? "

"If you're not sure about it how do you know he's sure about it ?" 

Good point Gracie . Good point . I flopped back onto my bed . 

"I dont have a bloody clue . But whatever . Actually Gracie - can i tell you something reeaalllyyy secret ?" 

"You always can we're best friends remember ?" 

"I know . Okay , here goes . I like Louis ."

"Well no duh it's so-"

I cut her off , 'Wait , I'm not done . I think i like Liam also . "

I took a deep breath and bit my lip . Gosh , that was harder than  thought it would be . Gracie just looked at me with absoloutely no expression on her face . That bothered me , i could always tell what she was thinking . Finally she answered me . 

"Aww look at my baby all grown up and falling in love with superstars !"

I couldn't but laugh  "Belt up this isn't funny ! ... Even if i laughed . What am I going to do ? I can't exactly go out with them can i ? "

"Anne , you worry too much ! I think you should wait a while , see which one you really like and see where it goes from there . Cause Belly , they both fancy you quite a bit . "

I chuckled at my childhood nickname : Belly . Niall used to call me that all the time just to bug me in year 9 . Then I realized what she said . 

'They- they fancy me ?" 

Gracie rolled her yes "Of course , goodness Annabel you're more oblivious than i thought !"

'Whataver , you love me really ." I grinned , 'Thanks Gracie ." 

With that we hooked elbows and went back out to the living room to find some very awkward boys sitting on the couch . Niall Included .

Louis' POV 

Tea was very awkard for me to say the least . I mean clearly something was up with Liam and Annabel , no denying that but i mean .. i like her too . Then her and Gracie came into the room , elbows linked and Anne just looked gorgeous like always . Of course Gracie was pretty too but Annabel was just something different . 

She could make a guy melt with her chocolate brown hair and light eyes and her smile ... her smile just made you feel like you could do anything , as long as she was there and she believe in you . 

But if I told her that she'd probably just laugh in my face . So i didnt tell her that . 

"Ah , so they return from their 'girl talk' ." 

She laughed . Oh her laugh . 

"Yeah i guess you could say that ." and she flopped down on the couch next to Niall while Gracie planted herself next to Liam and started messing with his hair which at the moment was curly . 

"You just love changing your hair , don't you Payne ."

"Well gotta keep it fresh , don't you ." he said .

Anne shot her a look but Gracie just ignored her and continued playing with Li's hair . 

Hmmm .

Niall's POV 

After Annabel and Gracie had their littl 'talk' in their room everything seemed to ease up in the tense air . Anne came and sat by me and to be honest i liked it that way . I mean she was my friend first before the guys . 

 God , why have i been so jealous lately ! 

"Niall , remember when you still had your hair all brown !" she giggled . 

"Oh God don't remind me Anne . " i groaned . 

"You know i think i still have a picture in a photo album somewhere .. "

Suddenly she popped up from the couch and ran into her room . 

'Annabel STTTOOOPPPP !" 

She just laughed at me and kept running stoppping only to drag Louis with her . Oh God let the humiliation begin . They shut the door and i could hear their laughter from the hallway . Great .
