Chapter 6

I was running towards Ben and Carlos when I hear Carlos speak. "So where is your trainer?" Ben look over and saw me coming. "She is right her" He said. "She?" Carlos turned around and saw me. "Yeah, it's a she" I said laughing, "you guys ready?" "Your trainer is your sister?" Carlos asked looking at Ben. "Yep, she is a part of the track team. She's the faster runner in school" Ben said. "I help out the whole team, I have to train most of the member. But I don't think Jay needs any help" I said, "He needs to more of a team player." "Coach will give him the speech" Ben said. "If he becomes more of a team player, then the team will definitely win the big game" I said. I looked over at Carlos and smiled. "Alright! Are you ready?" I asked. "Yep" He replied. "You're in good hands Carlos" Ben said. I looked at my clipboard as Carlos re-tied his shoes. I looked at him as he was in a starting position. "Okay! Carlos, we're going to start off with some sprints" I said and Carlos nodded. I looked down and grabbed my whistle and put it in my mouth as I held my stopwatch. Before I blew my whistle, I heard a dog bark and I looked up see Carlos running away from Dude and Patch that we're chasing him across the field. "Oh! Ah! No wait!" Carlos yelled as he ran. I looked down at the stopwatch and stopped it. "Amazing!" I yelled, I turned and saw Carlos still running "Carlos?" "No! Ahhhh!" He screamed and ran into the forest. "Carlos!" Ben and I yelled, I dropped my clipboard. Ben and I ran after him and the two dogs. They came to a stop, once they saw Carlos up on a tree with Dude and Patch barking at him. "BELLA! BEN! HELP ME!!" Carlos yelled. "Patch!" I yelled. Patch looked at me and came over. "Go to Chris" I said, Patch looked over at Dude and left. "HELP ME THIS THING'S A KILLER! HE'S GOING TO CHASE ME DOWN AND RIP OUT MY THROAT!" Carlos accused as Bella picked it up, "This is a vicious rabid packed animal- ""Woah, woah, hey," Bella cut him off with Dude in one hand and the other one trying to calm down Carlos, "who told you that?" "My mother," Carlos stated as Bella rolled her eyes a whispered 'Cruella, of course she did' to Ben who snickered, "she's a dog expert, a dog yeller." Ben and Bella looked at each other before bursting out in laughter a Carlos's paranoia continued, "Bella! Why are you holding him, he's going to attack you!" Bella let out a chuckle, "Carlos, you've never actually met a dog, have you?" "Of course not." Bella smiled as she took a step closer to the tree in which Carlos was in. "Dude, meet Carlos. Carlos, this is Dude. He's the campus dog." "He doesn't look like a vicious, rabid pack animal," He said slowly untangling himself from a tree and stepping down in front of Bella, "jeez. You're a good boy, aren't you?" Carlos hand slowly went up and started to pet Dude. Bella smiled and handed Dude to Carlos. As the exchange happened they both looked at each other and held a small gaze. Bella was one to break it as she stepped back, her cheeks slightly pinker than then normal as Carlos smiled down at Dude. "I guess you guys, have it pretty rough on the island," Ben spoke silently as Carlos looked up sad. "Yeah, let's just say we don't get much belly rubs." Bella looked at Carlos with sympathy as Ben slapped a hand on his shoulder. "Good boy, I mean you're a good runner." Ben said. "Well, we have to get going. We'll give you some space to know each other. We will see you later yeah?" Ben started to walk away along with Bella and looked back to see Carlos patting Dude.

Ben and I was heading back, when Ben said, "You know you are going to be a great queen." I cringed then said, "That's what mom tells me." "Also, I'm going to find Evie and ask her something." "Okay and I feel like you're doing more with the island kids then I am." Ben said. "You have more things on your plate then I do, now you have to practice before the big game in a few days" I said. "Is that an order?" Ben asked laughing. "That's an order, not just from your trainer but your sister" I said. "I will" He said. "Great!" I said, "I'll see you soon." I hugged Ben and he hugged back. "See you" He said. I left towards Evie and Mal's dorm, stopping at mine to get changed out of my track outfit and back into what I was wearing earlier. Once I got there I knocked on the door. But seeing as it was already open I walked in, when Evie saw me she smiled.
