Chapter 8

(Bella outfit)^

Ben, Audrey, and I walked out of class. I saw a bunch of girls at a table laughing and smiling, as they braided and styled each other's hair. I smiled and waved at the girls. "Hey Bella" They all said. "Hi girls, love the hair!" I said smiling. I saw Mal and the others come out of the class and the girls look toward Mal. "Hey! look it's Mal" one of the girls said. "Love my hair Mal!" Another girl called. I saw her jump but she still smiled and waved to the girls. I started talking to Ben. "Mal seems to be warming up to this place" I said. "I think they all are, Jay and Carlos are in the team and Evie seems to love it here" Ben said. "Do you think they actually pay for that?" Audrey asked. "Maybe" I said. "So? What's wrong with it?" Ben asked. "It's gateway magic!" Audrey said, "they start with the hair, and then they do the lips, and the legs, and the clothes, and then everyone will be beautiful! And...where will I be?" I looked at Audrey and glared. "Are you really that concerned about your looks?" I asked. "And you aren't?" Audrey said. "For your information I'm not." We glared at each other, Ben pulled me back before I did something. "Listen Audrey- "He started but she cut him off. "I will see you at the game, after my dress-fitting for the coronation okay?" I cringed and glared at her. Ben just slightly smiled and said, "Okay." "Bye Benny boo" She said pretending to kiss his cheek. I honestly can't stand her! "Bye..." Ben said nervously. "Bella" Audrey said. "Audrey" I said. I glared at her as she walked away, I looked at Ben and rolled my eyes. "Why can't you break up with her?" I said. "I'll wait until after the game, she's been very jealous lately and I think that mom doesn't like her very much" Ben answered. "Well I for one hate her, along with Chad. He's using Evie! Did you know that?" I said. "I do now, but I highly doubt that" Ben said. "For the son of Cinderella, he's a jerk, a big one" I said. "He can be but not all the time" Ben said. "You know we'll talk after the game, right now you need to stay positive!" I said. "Okay, I'll see you later" He said. "Bye" I said. I kissed his cheek and towards Evie. I walked over and said, "Hey Evie, can you safe me a seat for the game?" She smiled and nodded. I replied, "Thanks see you later."

At the game, I stood by the boys and the coach. "Bella any words of wisdom for the team?" Coach asked. "Okay boys!" I said, "You will do your best to win this game! I believe in you! The whole school believes in you! Are you guys ready to kick some butt!?!" "Yeah!" The boys cheered. I smiled and nodded. "That's the spirit!" I said, "Oh and if you win, I will buy you guys pizza and you'll have a victory party." The boys yelled even louder and I laughed. "Great now go out there and kick some butt!" I yelled. "Hands in" Coach said. The boys put their hands in and the coach said a few things about today's game. "Already Knights on three!" Ben said. "One, two, three!" "Knights!" They yelled and the first few players were put on the field. I ran to the bleachers and went up to the girls. I then yelled, "Let's get this party started!" The girls laughed at me. The game started and went on. "We've got 47 seconds on the clock, we're all tied up" the announcer said, "the Sherwood Falcons two, the fighting Knights two, what a game between Auradon schools." I saw the coach put Jay and Carlos on the field and I cheered for them. "Let's go boys!" I yelled. I looked at Mal and Evie and they were smiling and jumping. "He's bringing the hothead Jay, from the Isle of the Lost and that little guy, Carlos, who can barely hold his shield" the announcer said, "When they break their handles, this is going to be a big moment here." I cheered as the boys split and they started playing. "And the tipoff is ready...here we go! Long pass goes to Jay!" The announcer yelled, "Jay dishes it off to Prince Ben. Nice little block from Carlos! He does a little dance in his opponent's face!" I laughed and cheered. I'm so happy that the practices have helped.  "Go Carlos!" I yelled. "And now Jay gets the ball back! Here comes Jay! Jay hurdling maneuver at mid-field. Jay makes a nice pass to Ben through the kill zone. Big block by Chad! Prince Ben moves over wide, gives it back to Jay! He's in the clear! Shot! Oh! What a save from Phillip, the Falcons goalkeeper." "Come on guys you can do it!" I yelled. "Let's go Knights let's go" The cheer squad yelled and did two claps. "Let's go Knights let's go!" Everyone yelled and clapped. "23 seconds left! You could cut the tension with a sword. The long ball is played into Jay. Jay, great jump, great leap! And a great move from Jay! Big block from Chad! Jay dishes off to Prince Ben, and then Carlos, with big block, goes down, Jay thorough the kill zone, picks up Carlos. Oh, He's hammered by dragon fire, still going down! Jay, hurdling maneuver at mid-field, he's in the clear! The ball goes to Jay...He passes to Prince Ben and he scores!!" The crowed went crazy, I jumped up and down and screamed. We won!! We really won!! "Prince Ben has won it! What an unselfish play by Jay! Incredible team! And it's the new guys, Jay and Carlos! Who set up the prince for the win, here they come! The winners of the first- "he was cut off by Ben grabbing the microphone. "Excuse me!" Ben yelled, "excuse me! Attention please!" The crowed went silent and I looked at him confused...what is he doing?? "There's something I like to say" Ben said he looked around and when his eyes met mine. I gave him a 'what the hell are you doing' face. He smiles at me and by look on his face, I could tell what he was going to do. "Give me a M!" He yelled. "M!" We all shouted, "Give me a A!" "A!" "Give me a L!" "L!" I smiled so wide knowing what he was spelling. "What's that spell?!" Ben asked. "MAL!" Everyone shouted. I saw Audrey look from happy to sad, I looked over and saw Mal shocked and Lonnie and Evie happy. "Come on! I can't hear you!" Ben shouted. "MAL!" We all shouted again. "I love you Mal!" He shouted, "Did I mention that?" I looked at him and smiled...oh my goodness!! He told her he loves her! I saw Audrey looking horrified, she made a sound and ran off the field. I smiled and laughed, I know it's mean but she deserves it! I looked over at Mal and saw her slightly smile, Evie was super happy and Lonnie looked like she was going to burst of joy. I looked over at Carlos and he smiled at me. I smile back and I heard Ben yell. "Give me a bet!" He pointed to the band and Doug counted down. "Uno, dos, tres, quarto!" The band started playing and Ben sang.

            When Ben finished singing he was in front of Mal and they hugged. I ran down to the guys on the field. "I love you Mal!" He said, "did I mention that?" Audrey ripped the microphone out of Ben's hand. "Chad's my boyfriend now!" She yelled. I glared at her, as I saw the look on Evie's face. Seriously what is her problem?! "And I'm going to the coronation with him!" She said, "so I don't need your pity date!" "No one cares!" I yelled. She looked at me and glared, that's right! No on tries to hurt my brother. Audrey kissed Chad and Evie look so mad it wasn't even funny. I glared at Audrey and I was about to run up to her when I felt arms around my waist. I turned my head around and saw Jay. I kicked my legs as he picked me up. "Put me down" I said, "Let me at her!" "Carlos!" Jay called. Carlos came over and Jay put me down, I almost ran away when Carlos was holding me. "Bella" Carlos said, "calm down" "She's a no-good back stabbing witch!" I yelled. "Calm down Bella" Carlos said. I looked into his eyes and I melted in his arms. He smiled as he saw me calmer. "Fine but I will get her back for this" I said. "You can do that just please, calm down" I nodded and heard Ben ask Mal a question. "Mal, will you go to the coronation with me?" Ben asked. Mal grabbed the microphone and answered. "Yes!" She yelled. Ben looked at me and I smiled. "She said yes!" Ben yelled. The crowd cheered and I just noticed that I was still in Carlos arms. I blushed and looked down. "Um Carlos?" I asked. "Yeah?" He asked softly he looked at his arms and blushed. "Oh, sorry about that..." I giggled "That's okay." I giggled as his face was a bright as a rose. "Bella it's time for you to buy pizza!" Taylor yelled. "Okay, I'm coming!" I yelled. I looked at Carlos and smiled. "I'll see you later okay?" "Okay" he said. I gave him hug and a kiss on the cheek. I ran over to the rest of the team and got what they wanted to order. I saw Jay ran up the bleachers and grabbed Ben away from Mal and Evie. When Jay and Ben came down the team lifted Jay and handed him the Tourney trophy. Everyone cheered and Jay pointed at Mal and Evie smiling. "And there he is!" The announcer cheered, "Jay, the most valuable player!" Everyone cheered even more and I was smiling. "Bella?" I looked at Carlos, smiling and laughing. "Yeah?" I said. I looked at him in the eyes, his brown orbs looking into mine. I saw him studying me. He then scratched the back of his neck and look down at the grass. "Um...would you like to go on a date with me?" He asked, "I mean I understand if you don't..." "Really?" I asked, he nodded slowly. "I thought you never ask" I said smiling. He looked at me in shock and he smiled went wide. He hugged me. I laughed and hugged him back. "So, when it this date?" I asked. "I haven't gotten that far" He said laughing nervously. I smiled and giggled. "That's fine! You know what? You can celebrate the big win with the team" I said. He looked at me like I was crazy and shook his head. "No-no! I want to celebrate the big win with you." He said. I smiled and grabbed his hand. He laced our fingers and smiled at me. "Really? Cause the date can be tomorrow" I said. He nodded and I smiled. I gave him a hug. He hugged back. He pulled away from the hug and grabbed both of my hands. "I'll come by our dorm in an hour or so, from there I'll take you out" He said. I smiled and nodded. "Okay, stop by Mal's and Evie's dorm instead" I said. "Alright, I'll see you later then" He said. He kissed my cheek and gave me a hug I nodded and we parted ways.
