GRADUATION TRIP

5 More days! 5 more days!

          5 more days and my class graduates! Which means we went on our graduation trip

          It took place at 5 wits at the Palisades mall. If you don't know what 5 wits is and are too lazy to search it up then my explanation shall help you.

          5 wits is almost like an escape room but more interactive. Each room has a theme and story line to it. We went to the three rooms they had there which were drago's castle, deep space, and tomb. It has a bunch of puzzles that you need to solve in order to get to the next room. If you get stuck though then they automatically help you or just open up the next door. There are also exit doors if you feel trapped and if you want to go back in you can just ask your guide.

          At first some of us thought we were gonna get frustrated and not like it but in the end, we loved it. People were screaming when the lights went out or when the jump scares happened.

          We were split into three groups of ten. My group had no chaperone so it made it extra fun. We all started and ended with different rooms. We all thought differently too so some solved it faster than others. My group had to wait in front of the space door

          My group consisted of Brad, Niki, Katelyn, Anna, Jenny, Amber, Bianca, Paula, Chad and me.

          Brad said that once we got in the room he calls Captain's seat.

First Room "Deep Space":

          The tour guide showed us the teleporters. He said we couldn't go through teleporter 3 because the blue light we were seeing coming through was because he accidentally spilled coffee on the controls and opened a portal. He also said we couldn't go through teleporter 2 because if we did we would be liquefied and because of that, we could buy liquefied humans.

          So we had to go through teleporter 1 but only had a 50% chance of all making it. And because there was ten of us he said at most only five of us would make it. Then we were shown a video of a scientist.

          The scientist told us that a ship that they had lost long ago and thought was destroyed had sent binary code that said help us and their coordinates. Our mission was to get aboard the ship, figure out what happened, and get back to earth in half an hour.

          We entered teleporter 1 and our guide told us to stand on a circle and we would be on the ship.

          Once we were on the ship Brad called captain's seat because he's done the rooms before and because he loves being captain.

First objective: get the engine started

          I honestly don't know how we did that. We looked at the screen and it told us to pull levers, cranks, press buttons, and move this joystick like thing around but they had to be done simultaneously.

          After we got the engine started the AI system that controls the ship told us that the ship was damaged. It also said we were going in an asteroid belt and needed to fire the lasers to destroy them.

          There were four lasers and four buttons to fire the lasers so we had some of the group positioned at the buttons ready to fire when told. However, before that, we had to align the ship the correct way that the screen was telling us. Once we were aligned we had to fire the lasers.

          Niki and I and some others shouted out loud what color laser to fire out so we can destroy the asteroids.

          All you heard was RED! BLUE! GREEN! YELLOW! throughout the ship. Then eventually it said to fire the thrusters. Brad hit a button and it worked then we were on to the next part.
