AD: You want to sleep in class but still get good grades? Well folks, I know how to do that! My friends and I did it for our whole 8th-grade year and still came out with '90s and above in all subjects! All you have to do is follow these easy steps--
Me: *Pauses TV* I can explain myself :D
So like all my content in this book, this is all true! I fell asleep in math and nearly passed out in religion on a couple occasions (tho that was mostly for health reasons but that's a story for another time). Anyways I was in a group with four other people then it turned into five other people. However, we all slept together! It was a big sleepover in math class!
Now I don't really recommend this to people who have a hard time in a subject because it probably won't work so that's your warning. Now onto the story!
My group consisted of Niki, Kanako, Aiden, Jacob and later Naomi. We were known to the class as the smart group. Mostly because Kanako, Aiden, and Jacob were in advanced math and Niki and I are just really good at math.
When we were put in that new group we were all excited cause it meant we could get help from each other and we were in the corner of the room next to the windows. Niki and I talked to Katelyn about it and she said it's not fair cause now all the really good math people can't help those who aren't as good at math. Aka we can't help others cheat.
There is personally a lot of memories cause this group stayed for like the whole ending of the year. Most of the memories were us sleeping though.
It wasn't that we felt like we were too good for the class it was just that we felt like we weren't being challenged enough. So most of the time we would fall asleep or draw or doodle or do advanced math homework or talk. It really depended on how early it was and if we were awake that morning. As you can see from the previous chapter I normally pass notes to Niki.
However, I do doodle when Niki is asleep or I fall asleep too. Did you know that doodling actually helps you to learn? It helps you to you concentrate, be more productive, and keeps you from thinking too much or too little. So I would suggest doodling. Honestly, I didn't doodle at first up until recently and when I started doodling my grades actually did begin to rise. So that's the first trick I guess.
Another trick that I do is I personally pay attention to the first explanation of what we are learning then I go do it on my own. I only do this if it's something new if not I sleep.I also ask my friends for help if I need to. My teacher always says if you talk it better be about math. A lot of the time my group did talk about math because we were always way ahead of what she was talking yet we still got in trouble.
If you can't sleep with your eyes open then you can position your head to look down, push your cheek up using your palm, and have your pencil in your hand. This mostly works if your towards the middle-back of the class and if the teacher is on the other side of the room. I suggest learning to sleep with your eyes open like I did that way you can make it seem like you're looking at the board.
All in all that was your guide to sleep. Try out these tips and you might be able to excel along with catch up on sleep in your classes.
