Chapter 21

Flashback

Levi's pov

" I'll tell you later, it's a long story."

" Just get some rest for now. We'll talk later."

I waited there the rest of the day. Until she woke up again.

Kimi tells Levi what had happened to her~~~

kimi's pov

"So that's what happened. What happened over here while I was gone?"

I looked towards Levi and found him sleeping soundly on the chair.

"You know he hasn't slept more then 2-4 hours a night. He's been worried about you. I guess he's relaxed now that you're here and is able to sleep more now too."

"Was he that worried about me Hanji? We've been a bit distant lately."

"Apparently so, well with that said you should rest while you can. I'll be on my way. I'll check on both of you later."

It's nice being back here, I thought. I didn't realize how much I've missed it until now.

5 hours later~~

When I woke up it was pitch black outside, I didn't see Levi so I thought he went into his office to do paperwork.

I decided to go outside to get fresh air, turns out Levi was there too.

"Hey, what are you doing out here so late at night?"

"Same thing you're doing. Getting fresh air."

I went closer to him and hugged him from behind, tears started welling up and after a second or two they started flowing down my cheeks.

"Kimi are you crying?" Levi turned around and hugged me back tightly.

"I'm not crying I just have an awful itch, that's all." I said hugging him back.

"What's on your mind? Is it Isabel and Furlan? Did you have a nightmare again?"

" No, I'm just really glad you're here, that I'm with you again.... I've missed you so much. I thought I wasn't going to see  you again."

" It's okay I'm here now, I won't ever leave you again."

Next day~~~

I woke up in Levi's bed, finding him sleeping soundly. I didn't want to wake him since he hasn't been sleeping well, so I just stayed there and waited till he woke up.

About an hour passed and he was still sleeping, and I had to pee. I tried getting off the bed as quietly and as quickly as I could. But he woke up anyway. He's always been a light sleeper. I went to the bathroom and did what I had to do. I came back and he was sound asleep again. Which was a surprise, he's always awake before I am. He really must have not been sleeping at all while I was gone.

I went to go look for Hanji. To ask if anything was wrong with me.

All she said was that I should get a lot of rest and keep an eye on Levi.

I went back to see if Levi was still sleeping and he wasn't. I thought to myself where could he have gone and went to his office. He wasn't there, I tried outside, still wasn't there, then I went to go look for Erwin and found Levi talking with him.

"I don't think Kimi should go on a mission any time soon. She needs time to recover and rest."

"Levi, she seems perfectly fine. I don't think she needs more then a day or two until she could go out into the field again. And with that said tell your squad they will be coming to see the new cadets ceremony tomorrow."

"Tch."

There's going to be a ceremony tomorrow? Have I missed that much?

"Okay Kimi you could come out now he's gone."

" How did you know I was here?"

"I didn't."

"Oh okay. Why didn't you come find me when you woke up?"

"Did I have too?"

"No but still, you could've told me you woke up."

"Okay I apologize."
