(as always NO ONE is giving me any feedback so imma just continue this story)
annnnnywhooooooo excuse all typos cus ya girl didn't proofread🙂🙂
Tay cleared his throat and tried to act he didn't just stare this girl's face off for a good thirty seconds. He stood up, towering over both girls and walked near them to shake their hands, preferably the natural one.
Kaylin smiled and stuck her hand out before he could even make it to her and was shocked to see that he held his out for Nyla's ignoring hers. She was somewhat embarrassed so she just slapped her hand to her side.
"Tay." He spoke.
"Nyla."
The two that had never knew love stood there looking at each other in the eyes so gazingly. Like clockwork Nyla snatched her hand back and Tay's small smile fell.
"What the hell was that?" He thought as he scratched his head.
"Alright so I have some shorts in the bathroom across the hall being that I'm going to need the top of you bare." He spoke to Kaylin as he washed his hands and did what he had to do.
Once Kay left, Nyla just stood in the same spot watching him. Something about this man made her nervous and she didn't even know him. She wanted to open her mouth and at least say something but he pretended that she wasn't there.
He had already did a little too much. He was only nice to a female one time; when he was trying to get in their panties and truthfully Nyla didn't give him the easy vibe.
Minutes later, Kaylin walked in the room wearing a pair of small terry cloth shorts that Tay had many pairs of for clients to take home. He never seen any tattoo parlor do it so he did. He had multiple colors, black, white, gray, pink, blue, yellow, orange, green, and many others.
Kaylin laid on the chair with her stomach to the seat and moved a little to get comfortable. Nyla pulled out her phone and began to record her cousin.
"Ok so first imma just add the sketch then I'll let you know when I get to the needle. You have other tats?"
"Nope. First one." Kay said.
Tay said nothing else as he began to add the sketch. After that he told her he was about to start in with the needle. She grimaced once the first stroke hit her skin but after that she was good. She had a low pain tolerance.
——
"Oh my gosh! Thank you! I love this." She said as she looked at her back that was now filled with multiple colored butterflies.Tay was truly talented. He nodded his hand and started to clean up his area. He told the girls they could pay up front.
It was true what the people said. He was kind of rude. Nyla left wondering what stick was shoved up his ass. He didn't even thank them for coming.
After paying, the girls decided to get lunch.
"Chile that man straight up ignored my ass to get to you." Kay said as she ate her chicken salad.
Nyla began to laugh from the look on her cousin's face. Kay was used to all the attention being on her and got hurt whenever it wasn't.
"Girl no." Nyla shook it off knowing what she was hearing was true.
"Bitch yes he did. I was like oh well ok then."
Nyla laughed at her goofy ass cousin.
"But on a serious note Ny you haven't been with a nigga since X."
Nyla's entire body stiffen once she heard that name. That name alone caused her so much pain that once she finally closed off that part of her life she was done for good.
"Look I'm sorry for bringing him up but that was three years ago."
"Are we finished here?" Nyla began to pack up her trash as she stood and moved to the door to the restaurant.
She was beyond done with this conversation so she was ready to go back home. She didn't understand why Kay would just bring him up out the wood work like what the hell. She knew exactly what happened with that situation so for her to wanna talk about it was so disrespectful to Nyla.
She walked to the car and hopped in, crossing her arms and turning her body towards the window. She had no words to say to Kaylin at the moment.
The subject about X and Nyla was painful to talk about. The relationship was terrible and it only left Ny with a broken heart and so many other problems at a young age. Once she finally got to the point where she was done and she didn't wanna hear about it anymore, someone just had to bring it up.
It was like throwing salt on the wound.
——
"What's good?" Monty asked Nyla as she walked in first to their apartment. She just nodded and went into her room. Monty shook his own head, knowing that Kaylin must of did something to piss Nyla off. Speaking of, Kaylin scrolled into the house with no type of expression on her face. She flopped down beside Monty on the chair and laid her head on his shoulder.
"Talk to me ma."
"I brought up X."
Monty looked down at his girlfriend with shock in his eyes for he was confused as to how that happened.
Nyla made them swear that as her two best friends they wouldn't talk to that man ever again. They would go on with life as if he never existed.
"I was just saying that it's been three years since she had a man so maybe she should jump back out there."
"Damn Kay. You know the story with those two and how that nigga did her so why toss that up?"
"I'm sorry babe."
"It's not me you should be apologizing to love." He leaned in and kissed her lips before watching the TV again.
——
Nyla laid in her bed on her laptop, trying to read Her by Pierre Jeanty. It was an amazing poetry book that she had read multiple times.A knock from the outside of her door caused her to snap her head to the side and see who it was.
"Yeah?"
"Can we talk?" Kay asked.
"Come in, Kay."
Kaylin opened the door, now in one of Monty's long tees and a pair of socks. Her hair was in a bun.
"Look I just came to say sorry for earlier. I know what that man did to you and I do apologize." She started to turn on her heels before she heard,
"Don't ever bring him up again Kaylin."
"I got it."
