Sabrina's POV
I can't believe I have already been in New York for over two weeks. I have spent every day learning Spanish, with Andrew and Christopher. We are only learning as Andrew and Christopher are going to Mexico for a few weeks, when I'm back with Dad. Andrew apparently didn't want to leave me out of learning such a cool language and heritage. So to help, he added in dance classes everyday, so I could learn how to salsa, and how to tango.
He says it's good exercise, and every woman should know how to dance properly. My dance lessons are first thing after breakfast, for at least two hours every day. Meanwhile Andrew would work in his study, and Chris would go off to play football with some Muggles, in Central Park, at Andrew's request. Then we would meet up for lunch, sit down together and eat, before we start our Spanish lesson.
It's not all been about learning to dance, and speaking Spanish. I have also taken an art class learning to sketch, and I have been reading books from Andrew's long list. Books from Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters. Andrew says, the books will teach me how I should, and shouldn't behave. He wasn't pleased, when he found out I got 5 detentions in school. Apparently I shouldn't have gotten a single one. He even said that if I get another one, I will regret it next summer.
Even though Andrew is very generous to me, he likes things to be his way, no highway option. Precise and Perfect. I like to think, it's because he's lonely. He never sees anyone, especially when Chris and I go back to school. He needs a good, strong, independent woman to show him real happiness......and to put him in his place.
Despite all the work I have done so far, I have loved every second of it. I got to sing and play music with Chris in the evenings. Even Andrew would listen, as long as he approved of the song. His taste in music is very different, to mine and Chris'. Andrew likes classical, whereas Chris is anything from rock to heavy metal. They make me laugh so much, with their little squabbles over music. Chris is in a band called the 'Weird Sisters'. They are absolutely awesome! Andrew doesn't see the point in Chris playing in a band. He doesn't believe it's a suitable career for his son. Chris of course hasn't dare told Andrew that he is going to make a career of it, with his band, as soon as he leaves school. I know he will be amazing.
"Oi Sabrina, you done reading?" Chris asks, entering the small library, which seems to be growing each year. "I want your opinion on a Muggle song. Maybe even sing it with me, for Dad?" He adds taking my book off of me.
"Alright, but I'm not promising it will change his mind" I answer quickly, grabbing the sheet music, and reading it. I know this one.
I put on my cream cardigan, taking a quick look in the mirror, checking I'm presentable enough to see Andrew in my soft mint green dress. I am......just.
Chris picks up his acoustic guitar, and we walk into the next room, ready to perform for Andrew. He is standing in the far corner, with a few of his friends. I notice they are all blonde....must be a family.
"Ah, and here are my children. My son Christopher, and my step-daughter Sabrina" Andrew says gesturing for us to come over. He calls me his step-daughter to avoid any embarrassing questions. Understandable of course, woman runs out on ya, as she is in love with another man. It's not exactly a selling point about yourself. But I wouldn't dare let him call me that, in front of my real Dad, Remus. And Andrew knows that.
"Pleasure to meet you" A man with long blonde hair says, stepping forward, and shaking our hands in turn. "Lucius Malfoy, at your service" he says keeping his eyes on me. "This is my wife Narcissa, and our son Draco. He will be attending Hogwarts in a few years. The same school as you, Sabrina, as I understand it."
"Draco will be attending Hogwarts? I'm glad. It is a very fine school" I answer with delicacy – I hate talking like this, all proper.
"Yes, he will be a Slytherin, just like I was. Are you a Slytherin?" Mr Malfoy asks staring at me with an interesting smile.
"No." I answer, seeing his smile fade slowly "I'm a Gryffindor. Apologies for disturbing your conversation, we were intending to play for our father. But I can see he is busy, so we'll just - " I answer stepping backwards, with hope that I could be excused.
"Oh no! Please play. We would love to hear you play Sabrina. Wouldn't we Darling?" Narcissa says looking at both, her silent husband and son, who smile identically, and nod.
I nod, and pick up on of the acoustic guitars, and sit on one of the two stools, in the middle of the room. Chris sits on another stool, next to me holding his guitar. Our audience sits down, on the cream leather sofa's, watching us. Chris and I begin to sing and play.
When we finish our audience claps for us. Narcissa is watching me intently, as though she is proud of me. Odd people, these Malfoy's.

"What were they here for father?" Chris asks, after the Malfoy's had gone.
"Mr Malfoy, was ensuring my new floo network was all in order. It isn't the usual thing, for someone of his standard, but he was interested in meeting me apparently" Andrew answers proudly. "His wife of course, wanted to meet Sabrina, as she attends Hogwarts" Andrew looks at me expectantly. I stay quiet. It creeps me out that she wanted to meet me. I don't think Dad will be pleased, that I'm being used as a pawn, to make Andrew some British friends.
"I can't believe you will be leaving us in a few days. It's like you only got here yesterday" Andrew adds sadly "Mind you, at least you have learnt loads" He finished proudly "I think next year you will have you stay longer. That way, you could come abroad with us. Wouldn't that be lovely?" He says looking down at me. I nod. He seems so sad, when talks about not seeing me for a whole year. Cheers, by the way, for making me feel guilty.
"Well off to bed you two, we have a big day tomorrow!" Andrew adds brightly, before giving Chris and I, a hug goodnight.
*
I spent the last few days with Andrew and Chris, taking boat rides in Central Park, eating hot dogs, before one last shopping trip in the Columbus Circle. Andrew, of course, didn't listen to me, when it came to not spoiling us. He bought me a whole new wardrobe of clothes. He is too generous sometimes. It makes me realise how I could never, spend money like this, with Dad.
We spent our last evening, eating dinner at the Boathouse in Central Park, before whipping of to the theatre to watch a show on Broadway, in proper New York glamour.
The show we are seeing is about Muggle musician, called Buddy Holly. Bit of a shocker coming from Andrew. Buddy Holly, was like the rock god of the late 50's. I look over at Andrew and Chris, I guess they found a common ground to their music squabbles – it' about time.
