Sabrina's POV
After yesterday's auditions, suddenly the whole school was talking about Friday's dinner. Apparently Dumbledore has officiated to be feast in honour of the choir – Yay! More attention.
By lunchtime, it seemed like the whole school knew. I was sitting next to Fred, opposite George and Lee, eating my chicken salad sandwich. I was eating, whilst my mind was in it's own little world, reading about Hippocampus' again. I was hoping I missed something in the books, when a group of Ravenclaws passed whispering loudly.
"Can't they talk about something else? It's not like this is the first time the choir has ever sung!" I snap, slamming my book shut and giving the group an evil glare, making them run off quickly.
"Don't worry about it Sabrina. Just ignore them" George says giving me a small smile.
"Yeah by tomorrow, you'll be yesterday's news" Fred laughs at me.
"Or sooner if anything more interesting happens by tomorrow" Lee adds.
"And speaking of interesting things happening - " Fred says, suddenly looking stern.
" - We forgot to tell you both, something very important" George adds, obviously clicking onto whatever thought was running around Fred's mind.
"What?" Lee asks excitedly. I stay silent, looking at them – I don't think I'm gonna like this.
"We found somewhere in school that we can get Potio Nimbus - " George explains smiling.
" - For free as well" Fred adds also smiling.
I raise one eyebrow at them "Where?"
"Snape's stores" they both said in union.
"Good luck then. As you have figured it all out you obviously don't need me" I say quickly standing up and trying to walk off – I can't help with pranks! If I'm caught my dad, and Andrew, would flip out! Particularly Andrew! He would finally have a reason to transfer me to Illvermorny.
"You're the distraction!" Fred says quietly as him, Goerge and Lee catch up to me.
"Really?" I ask cautiously.
"Really. It was George's idea. It's a small part, but an important one. And there is no way you would get caught.......rather brilliant actually" Fred adds, sounding shocked by his brothers sudden use of intelligence. I smile at George, and mouth a 'thank you' which he smiles and mouths back 'you're welcome'.
After dinner we were sitting by the fire in the common room, discussing how, and when, we were going to pull off this master plan of breaking into Snape's stores. That's when it suddenly hits me – It's Thursday! - Crap! Oliver! - I was supposed to meet Oliver in the Owlery!
I snatch up my bag, and shout a goodbye to the twins and Lee, whilst half jumping and half running straight through the portrait.
I used Godric Gryffindor's 7th Floor portrait, to take me down to the Entrance Hall, before running out of the double doors and heading off to the Owlery – thank Godric I changed straight after dinner.
As I finally start running up the long, steep, hill towards the Owlery - I silently start praying between my huffs and puffs – 'Oh please still be there! PLEASE!'
I finally push open the door of the Owlery, to find myself bumping into someone looking very upset.
"Oliver!? Are.....are you ok?" I ask worriedly. He face looks shocked, but it slowly relaxes into a small smile.
"I thought you weren't coming. I was just about to leave" He replies not taking his eyes off of me.
"Oh well, I'm here now so er, shall we er go back inside? I do erm actually have some letters I need to send off" I finish – I must sound like a total prat.
He is just smiling at me, before finally nodding and holding open the door to let me in. I choose some owls to send off my letters. One to Mr and Mrs Weasley. One to Andrew and Chris. Then there was one each to Charlie, Bill, Ginny, Ron and my dad.
"Wow that's a lot of letters!" Oliver exclaims at the sight of the the pile of letters I'm tying to the 5 owls.
"Well I'm friends with all of the Weasley's, so I send letters to all of them. And I have my Dad, step-dad and brother, who send me letters as well. Everyone has already sent me a letter, asking about my first week. It feels kinda nice to write to so many people. It's like I have one gigantic family!" I finish as the owls take flight one-by-one through the window. I walk up to the window to watch them fly away, under the light of the full moon.
"Do you not write to your mother?" Oliver asks, standing so close to me at the window that our arms are touching.
"I would if I could. She died when I was very small" I say quietly.
"Oh I'm so sorry. I.....I......I didn't know" He says stiffening up.
"It's Ok Oliver......I miss her of course, but she's always with me......in here" I say pointing to my heart "at least that what my Dad says" I laugh lightly.
Oliver laughs with me, watching me with his big hazel eyes. He is watching me so intently – my heart is not pulsing faster and faster every second!
He begins to lean closer to me – is he going to kiss me?
He leans in further and further. I lift my chin slightly looking into his eyes, as they gently close. He leans further forward until our lips touch gently. He pulls away slowly, his eyes still closed. He smiles as his eyes slowly open, looking at me. He wraps his arm around my waist, before I let him kiss me again a few more times. He lips are so soft and gentle – so this is a kiss? A real kiss? Not just playing kiss chase with Fred and George, when we were little. In theory George was technically my first kiss – but I don't know if kiss chase counts? – If it doesn't, Oliver would be my defiantly first kiss – and it was perfect!
Simple kisses in the moonlight, underneath the stars, with Owls hotting softly – it sounds like beautiful music to my ears, as he kisses me softly.
Oliver pulls our lips apart leaning his forhead against mine lightly, his eyes closed. "We should be getting back. It's almost curfew"
"Ok" I say, as a light breeze makes me shiver slightly in the September night air.
"Are you cold? ......Here take this?" He says taking of his hoody, and placing it around my shoulders.
"Thank you" I smile. He wraps his arm around my shoulders gently, leading me out of the Owlery. His hoody, presses up against my skin, and it smells sweetly of him – A mix of fresh green grass and his gentle cologne. We start making our way back up to Gryffindor tower, before he stops me in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady.
Oliver looks down at me with his big hazel eyes, "I don't wanna make a scene in front of everyone. So I will say goodbye here instead.......It's a bit more private"
"Ok......Goodnight....Oliver" I say slowly smiling at him – why does the day have to end so quickly?
"Goodnight....Sabrina" He replies slowly, before kissing my lips gently. He then pulls back smiling before turning to the now smiling Fat Lady, and says the password "Osculum Vitae".
Huh! – that means 'Kiss of Life' in Latin – How ironic. He smiles down at me – It's like he knows what I'm thinking. He stands aside, letting me through the portrait first – he is such a Gentleman! – The twins and Lee never do that!
I climb through the portrait, and sit down with Alicia, Lee, the twins and Angelina. Alicia and Angelina start smiling wildly at me – what are they staring at?
Lee, George and Fred watch as Alicia and Angelina lightly point their fingers at me. Fred and Lee smile cheekily just as George's face starts to look grumpy. I look down to where Alicia and Angelina are pointing – Oops! I'm still wearing Oliver's Hoody! I feel my cheeks warm up slightly – and I know it is not from the warm fire in front of me.
"It's rude to point ya know" I say smiling at them, before biding them all goodnight, and walking up to the girls dormitory – I think i'm gonna hang onto this hoody for a while.
