I walk out history class and I was disappointed when they announced that the classes were going to be cancelled for the rest of the day because of some power outage. We were in history for God's sake and it pissed me off to miss a period of my favourite class. Being the nerd I am of course, I was planning on going home and reading.

The bright side is that because of this power outage I technically went to school for only an hour. That was pretty nice.

"Tarai!" I hear Belle's voice call from behind. I smile at the nickname they gave me considering the fact that my name was really short for a nickname.

I twirl around to be attacked by her tiny frame, but even if the girl was petite she was a ball of energy.

"Guess what?" she asks excitedly and her big brown eyes looked at me like a kid on Christmas.

"What?..." I ask reluctantly knowing this was going to lead to a bad choice.

"Me and Viola are taking you to youre first ever party!"she squeals like a mad women and I snort. In a very unladylike way, then my snort was followed by a laugh.

"Very funny babe but no way," I decline her offer but she is the most stubborn girl I've ever met.

"We'll be back before midnight!" she says and I roll my eyes.

"My mom will kill me if I even utter the word party... So if you wish to see me alive then let's stick to hanging out at the café and if you want to show up to my funeral you're welcome," i said with sarcasm underlining my every word. She gave me a pout and then wiggled her eyebrows.

"Scared Mahlotra?" she asks playfully quirking an eyebrow.

"I'm not scared, I'm simply not interested in getting drunk and I'm a bad liar," I negotiate her attempt at potentially killing my good girl reputation.

"Nobody will know," she says and takes out the big guns.

Her puppy dog eyes.

Please.

No.

"Belle, I won't go to that damn party," I say firmly hopping she would give up.

"Says who?" says a voice I'm very familiar with.

Violet.

She was basically the badass between us all but still had class. Classy badass.

She comes over and hugs me but I know there's something wrong with this approach. She always hugs me at the waist because I'm taller but this time she was going to wrap her hands around my shoulders.

Before I could react, she twists my shoulder and pinches some area near my neck. Before I know it, unconsciousness invades me.

20 long minutes later

I get up to the sound of cars driving by. I squint my eyes open and take in my surroundings.

A Ferrari.

Violet.

I get up at once and wipe of some drool that was left on my cheek.

"Rise and shine sunshine," Violet's chirpy voice greets me and I shake my head.

"What did you do to me?" I ask and I notice Belle in the front seat.

Meaning I was dozing in the back seat.

"A bit of twisting," Violet replies with a chuckle. Of course, that girl had taken 10 years of martial arts and kickboxing. Hitting some point in my neck to knock me out mustn't be a problem at all.

"Argh, where are we going anyways?" I ask warily.

"My house," Belle squeals waving her hands in the air and earning a few weird glances from people.

"Girls. I told you guys I'm not going to the party okay?," I say quietly.

"Partypooper," Belle mutters while looking at her reflexion in the mirror.

"To bad baby girl, we already bought the dresses. I'm a speedy shopper," Vio says with a clicking of her tongue.

"Vio, I said no," I say and pout dramatically. Hoping they would realize that I'm a nerd and I don't fit in at parties.

"Want me to knock you unconscious again?" she asks and I shake my head hurriedly side to side.

"Good," she smirks and smiles through the rear view mirror.

We arrive at Belle's house minutes later and the girls basically drag me upstairs. They make me sit onto the bed and throw all the freggin' dresses on my face.

"The black one's yours Tarai!" Vio says and I look at the very very short dress. It arrived higher than my mid thighs, molded my toned but curvy body and highlighted my tan skin.

I strip my clothing and shimmy into it. I take a look in the mirror and the girl I see is a more confident, sexy and older version.

This dress brought out a side of me I never knew, I looked so damn confident.

I pose for Vio and Belle and they squeal and clap their hands together as in my little moment of glory I posed as if I were on a runaway show.

"Oh my god, Tarai. You've got to wear this!" Belle says and I shake my head in disapproval as my conscious thoughts come back. Making me feel guilty of even considering for a second to go to this party.

I slump down on her bed and take my head in my hands.

"Girls, I cant do this. I'm not allowed to," I say and Vio gives me a menacing glare that has me sit up straight.

"Girl, my dad owns a damn riffle. Any boy that he's seen me with he grilled me about who the guy was. My parents are equally protective but it's our duty to live a little. We don't even have to get drunk. It's just to see what these parties are all about," she explained and it reasoned the internal dispute I was having.

"Where do we start?" I ask with fake enthusiasm. Firstly, because I didn't want Vio to knock me out a second time.

"Hair," Belle says grabbing a curling wand out of nowhere.

Vio combs my hair down, detangling it.

She curls my hair into loose curls and then applying some spray to it so make it shinny. My eye make up consisted of a smoky eye with golden highlights and my eyeliner was winged. I had also put on this amazing mascara that make my long lashes look twice as long.

Next, they put on a light shade of pink on my lips and my nails a deep black colour.

I get up to see the final product of this and turn around. My reflection stares back at me and I was stunned.

Holy shit.

If it weren't for my unique eyes, I wouldn't have recognized myself because I looked a little older.

I smooth down the dress, hoping it would elongated somehow but fail.

Vio throws my a shoe box and I open it.

Black peep toe pumps with a golden bow at the front to match my eye makeup. My heart was thumping to endless limits right now, what was I doing?

My phone buzzes on Belle's bed and I open the new text message I just got.

**I'm sorry, again. I won't be home for the night, got stuff to do. Did the groceries if you needed anything. -Rahul

My heart skips a beat at his concern but the softening emotions is soon replaced with rage. I toss the phone on the bed and step into the sexy pumps.

My endless long legs looked hot in the heels.

Rahul you're stupid.

Game on pretty boy.
