Chapter 4

It's been a few days since Layla collapsed. None of the 6 doctors could diagnose what she had. All they could find was that it was shutting down her systems. Which meant she was dieing. Nagai graduated but stayed by her side as much as he could. The doctors said it would most likely kill her before they could do anything. Those words stuck with Nagai. She would awake occasionally and smile at Nagai to try and reassure him. He burned her smile in his mind knowing it would only kill him later...when she was gone. He sighed. "Babe I have to go... I'll be back as soon as I can." He got up and let go of her hand. He refused to let them remove her from his bed. He left the room and closed the door, Lida was standing there, wearing her pink gown. She looked at her brother worried. Tomorrow would have been their Wedding day. That's what killed Nagai the most. Lida hugged her brother, knowing he needed it. He hugged her back and broke down, tears pouring down. He wished this was all a nightmare. He hated watching his love slowly die in front of him, suffering. Lida pulled away. "Nai... you need some rest...i know your heading out but you need to clear your mind..." she was worried, Layla was her best friend but Nagai was looking his fiance. Nagai nodded "I'm just going to get her something..." She nodded. Probably something to keep Layla comfortable. Nagai walked out of the palace, walking the streets with his thoughts tangled up. He didn't care how but he was going to make Layla as happy as he could. So she's be smiling at him when she left. thats how he wanted her to go, with a smile, that beautiful smile that could change your entire day.
