Chapter 11

(Imari's POV)

I heard a scream from down the hall. We all knew it was Nagai. I couldn't use magic either... Great, this year has been PERFECT! First, I had to reject my childhood friend which made things awkward between us. Then his sister dies. And now this! I looked over at Lida, she was still crying from what they did to her earlier. but something was different. her eyes weren't their normal blue color. they appeared more of a majestic purple. I sighed and looked up at the door, hearing footsteps. The door opened and the scientist threw Nagai into the room, he hit the wall and curled up, shaking. God, what have we gotten ourselves into...

"Nai!" Yama and Lida jumped up and ran to his side, he had bandages on his biceps. "Nagai, what did they do to you man?" Nagai sat up, holding his left arm, blood was seeping out of the bandages. "D-Damnit... We gotta get out of here... My father will have them killed for this... Imari prepare yourself... they kept talking about you, I think your next." "What did they do!?" Nagai sighed and looked toward the door. "They injected me, just like Lida, but my reflexes made me strain. he took it as me trying to fight back, and he dug a damned knife into my arm until he hit the bone..." we all just sat there shocked. I kept trying to think of a way we could escape. but all of them ended in the same question: What about these Damn collars? "...We need an escape plan. somehow we need to get these collars off first though." they all turned to me, desperate to get out of this Hell. I stood up, looking around the get my bearings. the walls were covered in sheet metal, there's a camera in the corner opposite of the door. then there are the collars.  "The chemicals they injected into the twins are doing something to our physical appearance." "Wait how can you tell?" I pointed at Lida and then to Nagai. "Lida's eyes are now a light purple, and Nagai's are still shifting but you can still tell their becoming orange." they started to panic. "Is that going to change all of us?" Hirai looked up at me with worry in his eyes. "Most likely. but the chemicals will definitely change us before we can have a chance to get out of here. I'm just hoping these injections will do something to us that will aide our escape. the problem is that if the changes are Jurassic than when we try to return to our normal lives they will not recognize us anymore." I heard footsteps and the door opened, I quickly sat down so it wasn't obvious I was making an escape plan with the others. "Subject 24. come with me." I sighed, Subject 24 was what I was referred to as now. I stood up and walked out the door. I just had to woman up and take it. no matter how bad it hurt me, I couldn't fight back or they'd cut into my flesh like they did to Nagai.

I laid there in our cell. I wouldn't show it but I was in so much pain. they didn't do one injection like they did to the twins, They injected me with a purple substance in my arm, but then they injected something into my left eye, now I couldn't even see out of it. the other 4 had gotten all their injections but told me that my left eye was now grey and clouded. whatever they did to me made me blind in my left eye. funny. I already have a scar over that eye from a fighting incident.
