When opposites attract

chapter thirteen

(A) i was excited to go to the mall with Hayden. We parked in the lot and walked into the main entrance. The smell of the food court wacking us in the face.

(H) we started walking around eyeing the stores. We've never been to this mall before so I asked annie where she wanted to go.

A: forever 21

H: okay.

(H) we shopped at a couple stores and annie insisted she'd pay for herself.

(A) i was walking past the jewelry store when I saw the most beautiful necklace I've ever seen. It reminded me of the caleb necklace i had with his thumbprint but instead of a print there was a gorgeous silver rhinestone. I stopped in my tracks smiling through the glass window.
A worker walked up to us as I was smiling at it.

?: like the necklace young lady. It's one of a kind. Any interest in buying?

A: um no thanks I was just looking.

(H) I knew annie really wanted that necklace, she was just too shy to ask me to pitch in to help her pay for it.
She picked up her bags as we stopped at the food court ordering chicken salad and a slice of pizza.

H: anns, I gotta go to the bathroom I'll be right back.

A: yea sure,

H: leaves*

(A) i continued eating my salad watching the shoppers pass and go down the escalaters when some guy wrapped his arms around me.

Ca: hey cutie can I get your number?

A: carson you scared the heck out of me!

Ca: laughs* why are you here by yourself?

A: I'm not. Hayden's just in the bathroom.

Ca: you guys were serious about that relationship thing?

A: rolls her eyes* yes carson. What are uout doing here?

Ca: caleb won the bet we had and now I have to buy new shoes again.

A: boys and their stupid bets and boy brains.

Ca: smiles* hot chick nine o'clock gotta blast. Cya at the house. *leaves*

A: my point made clear thanks. 

(H) i walked back to our table and saw a blonde guy leave annie.

H: who was that?

A: carson, who would have known.

H: laughs* I should have. He comes here more than the average girl.

A: it's kinda genius when your looking for girls though.

H: I guess so. But not really.

(A) I got a text from caleb "allowing" us to come home. So we decided to leave. When we got to the house Sydney's car was gone. 

(H) when annie and I walked in caleb was in the kitchen making dinner. Annie carried her bags up to her room leaving caleb and i in silence.

C: so.. How was the ice cream?

H: we actually went to the mall.

C: oh, that's nice. Did you wanna play cod?

H: uh no thanks, annie and i are-

C: again. You guys just started dating and you two haven't left each other's side. Play a game or two with carson and I for once.

H: how about later tonight? I just got Annie something and I wanna give it to her.

C: alright fine, but I'm beating your a** in that game.

H: laughs* deal.

(A) I went to the kitchen to get a drink when i see caleb and hayden talking.

A: hey bubba.

C: hey anns.

H: hey anns I forgot to give you something-

A: like what?

(A) just then I noticed his one hand was behind his back. He moved it in front of him revealing a small box. I smiled curiously as he placed it in my hand.

A: what's this?

H: it's nothing special. just open it.

(C) i was stirring the food listening to this all unfold as I cockily rolled my eyes to myself.

A: opens the box*

(A) it was the necklace i saw at the mall. It was in my hands. The gorgeous rhinestone shining from the huge gap of sunlight from our glass sliding door. I was stunned. words could not be formed of how much this meant to me.

A: oh my god hayden. You really didn't have to do this. It's so pretty.

H: annie I saw you drooling over it. I wish I could give you more than you deserve but-

A: hugs him* I love it so much. Thank you.

H: rubs her back* I'm glad you like it.

A: smiles*

(A) he put it around my neck as I went to kiss him. But of course caleb intervened.

C: you guys do know I'm trying not to throw up over the food right.

A: rolls her eyes*

H: backs away from Annie*

A: hayden, I'd hate to do this but my laptop keeps glitching. Can you help me fix it?

H: sure,

(H) I follow annie up to her room as I go over to her laptop. She grabs the back of my shirt.

A: don't tell me you actually believed that. 

H: laughs* so your laptop's fine?

A: yea doofus. *smiles* come here.

(A) hayden moved his hands onto my waist as he leaned in and kissed me.
Our lips slowly collided as my hands moved to the back of his neck. We pulled away as he smiled at me.

H: you are too much.

A: laughs* I know.

(H) our faces were centimeters apart as I examined her face, leaning in again softly connecting our lips once more. But this time more passion. her back was to the wall as I pulled away from her.

A: who would have known summerall was such a good kisser.

H: who would have known Leblanc was such a cutie when she lost the tude.

A: lightly punches him*

H: that hurt....my feelings.
