Chapter 23

"I-.... I'm sorry Alex..." she looked down avoiding my eyes.

My heart remembered her hurtful words, it felt like she was lying to me when I realized she apologized.

(ALEX'S POV)

She looked at the ground like it was the most interesting thing in this universe. i tilt my head to the side and start to brush my long black hair with the hairbrush Willow had given me. 

"Are you really?"  i wondered. i kept my tone soft she looked up and stared into my eyes looking for any emotions. "Yes, I'm sorry for talking to you like that it wasn't right. I'm just stressed out lately. every thing is so new to me and i hate change. with a strong ass passion." she confided.

i gave her a gentle smile. "it's okay. i get it"i tell her.  no i don't get it. why should she get to speak to me like that. she doesn't even know what I'm capable of. Shit i don't even know what I'm even capable of. 

 she seems to believe my lies, as she starts to brush her hair too. I brushed through the tangles in my hair starting from the ends and working my way to my scalp. The way my mom always told me too.

A smile graces my face as i start to think about the life i would have had if father had taken me and mom with him when he had committed treason. we could have lived in a beautiful house and I've could have gone to school when i was little. i wouldn't have scars that covered my body that have manly faded away. mom could have told me bed time story's of princesses and dragons. i could have been a normal Girl.  well as normal as a demon with wings can be. 

My smile fell as i recalled how I've lived. born a demon, left behind with my mom after my father had killed a higher up demon. physically and mentally tortured. mom went crazy and escaped leaving me behind to be raised by The Four for years. spending eight years with The Four wasn't fun. over the years i had spent time with them as step parents and teachers. Lord Lucifer had taught me summoning spells while Lady Zin taught me Magic, Lord Jack taught me how to be a true demon and how to transform into my true Demonic form (Very violently hurting me while doing so. of course) even Lady Mia who hated me, taught me Demon history and knowledge; every demon should know.

when i was twelve my father came back. he broke into the castle killing guards in the process. he didn't even come back for me. he had come to retrieve my mom, he had totally forgotten about me. he found out i was still alive and i begged him to take me with him to where ever he had hidden.  he ends up taking me with him but the damage of being tortured for eight years by jack stuck. he had some how bonded his mind with mine leaving his commentary stuck into my brain. my dad had taught me how to cancel lord Jackass out. while i spent the years with my dad he taught me how to use weapons and how to properly kill Demons. he told me about the different worlds Hell, Heaven, Tera and finally Mine-El.

he told me that Angels came from Heaven and that they are the sworn enemies of Demons . i had told him that i already knew that due to Lady Mia's lessons. he ended up plucking off a feather from my wings. teaching me not to talk back to him while he was giving lessons.  he told me that Tera was were the humans lived and where we could pass as normal humans if we never showed our wings or our "true forms".  He said that he learned a spell that could conceal our wings under clothing  and finally he taught me about Mine-El. he said that Mine-El was where the supernatural Races Lived safely. Elves and witches , werewolves, vampires and fairies. he told me that the world was largely covered in a dense forest called the forest of life. of course  the world also had oceans, deserts, tundras and plains.

i look up when a soft knock was heard. it was willow mom. Astra smiled brightly "the bath is ready" she said sweetly. me and Ally both nodded as i return her smile. i look over at Ally. " go take the one first. i don't have any clothes yet" she confirms. "okay" i agree.

I put down Willows Brush and pick up my clothes and make my way out of the room. Astra points to the bathroom door and walks off back to her room. as i walk to the door i smile as i finally relies where i am. i should have known it sooner but the thought never raced into my head with all that has happened. i chuckled in amusement, Allison Clark had teleported me and Elora to the birth place of her people.

Hello readers of " IF I CAN I WILL"  this chapter gives a bit of context to the universe I've created in this book. We get to see more of Alex's backstory. at the moment the star demon in this book is seventeen years old so she spent most of her life in Hell. 

if you ever have any questions about a character or the worlds. i would gladly answer them (so just inbox me about them :P ) I'm also sorry for the lack of updating this book but i had lost my laptop. good news that i have finally found it and will be making chapter 24 that will continue off of this chapter. please leave a vote if you like this chapter (it is always good to see that you guys like my book :) )
