( Lionheart's POV)

Dreamless sleep plagues my mind as I slept. The world is colorless in my eyes awake or asleep, it's all the same. Screams all sound the same. Bloodcurdling and horror-filled, does it really matter. I always end up bloody anyway. Mother always said monsters have the worst nightmares.

She was wrong...
Monsters don't deserve to dream.

But my queen she's not a monster yet. She has me to be her monster. She still dreams. She dreams of falling and old memories of before I knew her.

It's time.

As if on a timer I wake up. Just as the screaming starts. My eyes snap open and I sit up. I move my heavy covers off of my body and stand up. The cold stone floor contrasts with my warm feet. I start to speed walk to my door. I unlock the heavy door and walk down the corridor to the stairs that lead up to her room. I look out of one of the windows on my way up the stairs. The sun is about to rise. Good, the nightmares are letting her sleep a bit longer. That's if she went to bed at midnight again. I jog the rest of the way up the stairs as her cry's and whimpers became loud and clear. I push her heavy wooden door open and start or run to her side. I get on top of her and start to shack her awake.

"My lady, wake up. Please." I begged her to wake up as the worry started to sink in. Tears were flowing down her face and she was drenched in sweat. Her black and red hair stuck to her face as she whimpered. I started to shake her more violently.

I watch as her eyes snap open and she pulls a knife out from under her pillow and holds it to my neck. I look her in the eyes calmly and watch as she realized what she was doing. She pulled the knife away and put it back in its rightful place. She wiped away her tears. She avoided my eyes for a few moments. I gave her a sympathetic smile.

"Are you okay now?" She gave me a silent nod and looked me in the eyes. "It felt so real... like... like it was h-happening again..." she sounded so broken saying that. I know she doesn't remember a time before the incident.
"What happened this time?" I questioned.
"I was talking to HER, and she p-pushed me off the cliff... I remember f-falling and landing on the j-jagged rocks bellow..." she took a shaky breath and continued as she wiped her eyes again. "I r-remember the feeling of when my body hit those rocks... but i-i didn't die. I lived I blacked out, Lionheart but I lived. I survived every broken bone...Tyra, I broke everything... I should be dead right now."

My breathing stopped as she used my real name. She told me I didn't need it anymore. I'm away from the pain of the past. It was behind me now. I guess recalling her past was just a little too much right now for her... I gave her a hug.

"It's okay Mom, you're safe now. That fire-users can't hurt you anymore, we took care of all of them remember." I gave her a soft smile as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Thank you Brave One" she smiled back at me.

(20 minutes later)

" you had woke up at dawn today." she laughed. "I can see that." She gently pushed me off of her and got up. She stretched her back and started to crack her body. The popping sounds disgusted a lot of our subjects. But I was used to hearing gross sounds. Knowing what I do for her.

" what's on the agenda today, My Lady?". She finished cracking her neck and replied after thinking for a bit.
" well. Hmm. I've got a meeting with the witches council today at noon. I've already had a meeting with our werewolf packs, but I am meeting with a wolf named Gaius today because he claimed to meet an elf with healing abilities. Um, but for you, my dear. You'll be training our newest slave. She's weak and terrible at fighting."
