TRADED IT FOR PEARLS
I left with a promise to return to you
I wanted to give you a better life
Lacing pearls along your neck
Upon a snow white, sandy shore
Because that's what you deserve
Perhaps though, I was gone too long while the distance grew
You were left alone and took on our strife
It must have pushed you over the edge... Jumping off the ship deck
Seaweed replaced pearls around your neck... your voice I'll hear no more
Your soul crashed upon the rocks with nothing to preserve
