ARE WE LOST?
We'll be there soon you said
.... the same thing you said 3 hours ago
I'm tired, mad, and haven't been fed
With our luck I bet soon our car will need a tow
You laugh at that and carry on
But Im tired of this
We are lost; all hope is gone
This vacation is anything but bliss
Where are we now?
Why did you stop?
Theres nothing here except a cow
And a gas station selling soda pop
You buy us each a drink
Then begin walking up the hill
I ask where you're going but you only turn around and wink
I don't get you sometimes and I hate this... but I follow you still
We reach the top, looking over the sea on a rocky cliff
My eyes go wide... I'm dumbfounded... amazed
I never should have doubted you or even uttered "what if"
Before me is an untainted sunset, filling the sky with a colorful haze
This was worth every word of silence you gave me
Every mysterious smile along our journey
I know now why I follow you so happily
I'm no longer lost. I've found love and a new destiny
