RISE AND FALL
Bubbling up to the brink
Filling past the brim
How you long for a drink
Lips pressed against the rim
Just a taste, what would it be like
Drowning in sweet temptation
Like a dam with a broken dike
Water passes lips with no hesitation
What you imagined as sweet
Is too salty to bare
No release from the sun's heat
Madness and thirst, a deadly pair
Your chest slowly ceases to rise
Your conscious begins to fall
A tragic fate waiting in disguise
Death awaits us all
