*Percy's POV*
"Hera."
Percy turned around to see Annabeth glaring at the Goddess. "What do you want now?!" Hera's eyes flashed. Percy, being the sensible and smart person he was, decided he should step in the way before anything started.
"C'mon Annie." He said, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. Percy knew that he was the only one who could call her that, other than her dad, and he would take advantage of it. "We need to find out what's going on here," he whispered into her ear. Then he turned to Hera. "Queen Hera," he started, trying to be polite. "We were wondering if you could tell us what is going on in here." The goddess just huffed in exasperation and turned to the machine behind her. Inputting some new information, she asked them a question that startled all of them.
"Do any of you really know about Leo's past?"
This one sentence seemed to set off a bomb among the demigods. Frank and Piper started shouting about 'Who needs to know about Leo' and 'Why would that even matter'. Hazel and Jason were yelling about pasts and families and such. Annabeth had her eyes closed with a calculating expression on the rest of her face. Percy just stood there.
Percy honestly knew nothing about Leo, but from what he did know, he seemed to have a pretty easy life. He wasn't a child of the big 3, so he probably hadn't attracted too many monsters as a kid. He was always flirting and joking around like it was nobody's business, so he probably wasn't as scarred or damaged as Nico. He never really talked about his life before the Argo II, but he probably just doesn't want to be in the spotlight. Percy finally said something. "Why Leo's past?" seven heads turned toward me. Most of them just looked confused. Hera looked angry. Annabeth looked surprised that he had asked a relevant question. "What?" He asked, blushing slightly with embarrassment and indignance. "I can be smart!" Annabeth face-palmed and stifled a laugh.
"AHEM!" Hera cleared her throat. Don't tell her, but they honestly forgot she was there. "I believe I asked you a question. Do any of you really, truly know anything about Leo's past?" Piper scoffed. "Please. Why would we need to know anything about Valdez? His life has nothing on ours." Hera gave a sharp, humorless laugh. "If you truly knew about your so-called best friend, you would regret saying that." That put Percy a bit on edge. "Now," Hera continued "If you would be so kind as to sit in the seats, the viewing is about to begin." "Whoa whoa whoa." Percy stopped her there. "What do you mean viewing?"
Hera smiled coldly. "You truly know nothing about Leo."
