*Jason's POV*
"You truly know nothing about Leo."
The silence was unbearable, so Jason broke it. "Umm... What's that supposed to mean?"
All eyes turned to him and Hera looked disgusted. "He is your 'best friend', yet you know basically nothing about him." Jason started to protest, but the goddess cut him off.
"Where did he live originally?"
"Um-"
"What's his mother's name, huh?"
"I don-"
"When's his birthday!?"
That really hit him hard. Jason didn't even know his supposed best friend's birthday! Maybe they really didn't know him. He swallowed the lump in his throat and attempted to look her in the eyes. "What do we do?" Jason asked her, his voice barely a whisper.
She frowned slightly, looking at the tiny unconscious boy behind her. She looked at the data on the screen and snapped her fingers. A blinding white flash illuminated the room for a minute, leaving the demigods blinking spots out of their eyes. "Well, for starters," the tube had disappeared and Leo now laid passed out on the floor. Hazel looked like she was about to run towards the tiny boy, but Frank put a hand on her shoulder.
"Next," she snapped her fingers and Piper jumped, blinking for a few times, the cold glint previously in her eyes fading. "What- what happened?" she looked terribly confused, even more so once she saw her best friend motionless on the wooden floors.
"Leo!" she exclaimed, running towards him before anyone could stop her. She stopped about three feet away from him, seeming to hit an invisible barrier. "She turned toward the goddess, hair whipping around her face and rage and fear radiating off of her. "What. Did. You. Do. To. Him!?" She asked, a deadly bite in her voice.
Hera only raised an eyebrow in an unimpressed way. "I'm only trying to help." She may have tried to sound indifferent, but there was a sincere note to her voice. "Now, I need you all to listen to me. Leo Valdez is not as open as he might seem. I want you all to truly get to know him, and he did give me consent to do this. I can't have you disturbing him, so that is why the barrier is in place. I need you all to sit and watch, but if you try to move from your seat, the chains on the chair will take action." She looked around and sighed. "I KNOW I'm forgetting something..." she looked at Leo. "Ah. Of course. Good luck, demigods." She snapped her fingers one last time and everyone closed their eyes tightly.
When everyone had opened their eyes and blinked out the spots, they realized something. Hera was gone, but in her place was a small, dark figure.
Hey guys!
I told you I'd update soon! I will try to keep up a bit better from now on. Who do you think the mystery figure is? Yeah, yeah, go ahead and yell. What can I say; I'm a sucker for cliffhangers! Anyways, see Y'all soon!
