Shinkai Hayato : Piggy Back Ride

As you walk down the sidewalk, you accidentally tripped and fell off balance. Luckily, your childhood friend- Shinkai was nearby. As soon as he noticed you, he ran up to you, and to your surprise, carried you on his back- a piggy back ride.

"So, you tripped on something again, (f/n)-san?" He chuckled. "You really haven't changed. You're still a klutz." You gave an embarrased smile while he tried hard not to laugh.

"This reminds me when we were kids. You always trip on something, and I always carry you. And I'll always groan when I carry you on my back because you're heavy." He chuckled again. You hit him hard on the back of his head, realizing what he meant earlier. "So you also think that I'm still heavy, Shinkai?" You glared at him. "Nope, you were lighter than I thought, to be honest." He smiled.

A few minutes passed by when Shinkai suddenly stopped. You thought you were already infront of your house, but no- it was a playground, the one you and Shinkai always play at when you're younger. Childhood memories suddenly filled your mind- the time you were closest to Shinkai, before he came to love bicycles. You got off him and sat at the old swing, while Shinkai sat at the other swing.

Breaking the akward silence between you, he laughed. "Remember when you tripped here, (f/n)-san?" He pointed to a nearby bench. "Yeah, I remember. How could I forget!? There's blood dripping, you know! Blood! Blood! And you know I really hate blood, right? Right!?" You shouted aloud. He bursted out laughing at your rants.

"Also, do you remember when you confessed to me this spring? At this exact same spot?" At this point, your heart started to beat faster. You thought he'd forgot already because he gave no answer that day, but no- he doesn't. He remembered. "Could I give you my answer now?" You nodded, unsure of what will come next. Out of the blue, he kissed you on your cheek, leaving you a blushing mess. Shinkai continued, "Thank you for our wonderful memories. I like you too, you know?" You hugged him and cried tears of joy. As for him, he hugged you, and wiped off your tears. A smile crept on Shinkai's face.
