I woke up from a restless sleep due to the shouting coming from across the room.
My muscles felt weak, just like my energy. I let out an exhausted sigh. I groaned as I rolled off of the mattress.

I squinted my eyes and looked at Lucas.
He was standing there and shouting at his phone. A deep faint voice could be heard from the other side of the line.

"I'm not paying you a single penny!" Lucas shouted frustrated while  brushing his fingers through his brown hair.

He looked hot when he was angry.

A creepy laugh could be heard from the other line.
The laugh followed by some murmuring, I couldn't figure out what he said.

"Someone precious? What do you mean?" Lucas asked trying to sound calm. His eyes were wide staring intensely at the table.

Without an answer the call ended.
Lucas looked at his blank phone and sighed before he punched the table, making me flinch.

He turned around and met my eyes.
He was clearly surprised that I was standing right behind him.

"What happened?" I asked

"N-nothing" He answered looking away.

I just shrugged and decided not to force him to tell me.

The tension didn't leave Lucas's face.
He kept opening the front door after a few minutes and looked around quickly.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

Lucas was busy in his own thoughts. I don't even think he heard me.
I decided that I should distract him. Maybe that could make him more relived?

"What letter of the alphabet has got lots of water?" I asked with a loud and clear voice.

He looked at me confused and raised an eyebrow.

"The C" I said and bursted in laughter. Lucas chuckled before he came towards me with a big smile.
I think he knew what I was trying to do.

"Are your parents bakers?"
Lucas asked scanning my body from head to toe.

I looked at him confused. That was such a random question.

"Why?" I asked

"Cause they sure made you a cutie pie!" Lucas laughed as he clapped his hands satisfied.

I couldn't help but laugh with him. It's weird how fast we have gotten so close to each other.
My blush burned through my cheeks and my face felt like a hot oven.
I attempted to hide my rosey cheeks behind my skinny fingers.

"Are you blushing?" he asked coming closer.

Lucas tilted his face and grabbed my hands. He tried to remove my fingers from my face.

"stop~" I giggled as I tried pushing him away with my feet.

He managed to remove my hands from my face and locked his fingers in mine. He scanned my red face.
I sighed defeated.

"I am going to the store to buy some bread, I'll be back soon, okay?" he said, still holding my hands.
My heart was hammering against my chest.
I nodded.
Lucas put on his shoes and headed out.

My stomach growled and I squirmed in my seat to try to silence the rumbling. I glanced at the clock.
Suddenly I heard a sound coming from outside the door.
There were whispers.

Could it be Lucas? No, at least three different voices could be heard.
My mouth felt dry and I started getting nervous.

Suddenly the door was kicked open.
I screamed at the sight of four men dressed in all black. Their faces where covered with masks.
I stood up. Fear was plastered all over my face.
"Who are you?!" I asked almost screaming.
The men immediately ran towards me. It all happened so fast that I didn't know what to do.
One of them pulled my hair back, making me scream in pain.
I felt his fingers dig into my skin.

The other guy put a handkerchief on my mouth. It had a really bad smell.
My vision started getting blurry and my head was spinning around
I kicked with my feet trying to escape, but it was impossible.
One of the men punched my stomach.
Their nails were dugging deep in my skin.
I winced in pain as tears rolled down my cheek.
Blood was slowly oozing out of numerous wounds on my body.
The pain was getting too much. I couldn't handle it anymore.
My heartbeats pounded loudly, echoing in my ears.
My body twirled and jerked as I fell in one of the men's arms.
The feeling in my body drained away until finally all was black.
