2nd Thoughts

Chris POV

Beep.....Beep..... Beep..

My alarm went off telling me that it is now time to get up for another boring day at school. I slowly slid out of my bed and went into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror for awhile before starting my hygiene. I brushed my teeth and washed my face.

I looked in my closet looking for something to wear. I decided on My black polo shirt with the polo sign being red. I grabbed some regular blue jeans and my red and white Samoa's. My parents already left for work.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw a note sitting on the island that read. 

Breakfast is in the microwave Chris.... Don't be late for school.

Jaye POV

I was already up for school for school and I already had my outfit on which was my pink crop top, with some acid wash Jeans along with my white converse. I never eat breakfast Im just not a breakfast person. I walked outside and started up my car. I went in the house for the last time to grab my bag and my phone. I locked the door to the house and turned around to get in the car and that's when I saw Chris walking down the street to school I guess.

“Chris...? Chris...? "

“Wassup " he said walking my direction

“Do you need a ride to school "

“I can handle it, it can't be that far "

“It's three blocks away Chris "

“Yeah ima need that ride "

I laughed at him and lead him to my car. I still felt guilty from yesterday for being so mean so I decided to give him a ride. We were in the car driving down the street.

“Chris you're in 12th grade and don't have a car? "

“I do have a car it's just hasn't shipped over from Virginia yet"

“You're from Virginia? "

“Yup"

After that we sat in silence the rest of the ride. I pulled into my assigned parking spot for school and got out the car.

“Thanks for the ride Jaye I really appreciate it "

“Don't worry about it, just meet me here after school "

“Alright "

We both walked in the building both going to our first period class which was Calculus.

“Alright class for today's assignment ima need you to get in a group of three to complete pages 160 thru 163 and only do odd numbers "

Before she even finished her sentence me and Nicole had already joined our desks together. Not even concerned about the work.

“Umm Nicole and Jaye is it alright if I work with y'all "

I looked up and saw Chris standing over us.

“Me and Jaye don't mind, pull up a chair " I laughed at Nicole's eagerness

It turns out Chris is really smart. To be honest he did most of the work while me and a Nicole goofed around and messed with people.

“Chris... did you really read one of Jaye's poems "

“No.... why would I "

“Well Jaye is a Lil protective over her poems "

“Shutup no I am not"

“Obviously you are" they both said in unison

We noticed what happened and busted out laughing. I guess Chris wasn't that bad at all.

Chris POV

I'm now in 7th period with Jaye since we became cool and all we sat next together. Our 7th period class was art. which was my favorite subject.

“Chris... could you help me?"Jaye said to me.

“Sure wassup "

“Could you help me draw this circle "

I gave her a strange look and just drew a regular ass circle on her paper

“Thanks" she said with a big smile.

I finished my work. I drew Jaye. Not on no funny stuff but my mind just wasn't in the creative mood.

“wowww that looks just like me Chris... you can really draw" she said nudging my shoulder playfully.

“Thanks... you can keep it " I started gathering my stuff cause the bell was finna ring.

“Thank you Chris" she said while the bell rung

We walked outside the classroom walking through the double doors that lead to the parking lot. I was hesitant to ask her a question as I got inside the car.

“Jaye can I ask you a question"

“If it has anything to do with yesterday then no "

Jaye POV

After I said that I looked at him and looked back at the road. I thought some more as I pulled out the parking lot. I really needed somebody to talk to, so I decided I'll tell him.

“Chris can we go to the park and talk "

“Sure.... I don't mind"

I gave him and smile and turned into the park. I was nervous to talk him since met him yesterday. But I'm really vulnerable right now. Me and him and got out the car and went and sat by the lake.

“What was your question"

“You remember yesterday when I went to your house, what was all that noise "

“My parents" I said as I looked down at the water.

“They argue like that all the time "

I looked up at his eyes “they didn't start that until recently " I started to tear up...

“It's okay Jaye.. "

“It's not okay Chris my dad left yesterday, after one of their arguments " I didn't notice I was crying until I felt a drip on my hand.

“My parents went through the same thing, trust they'll get through it " he said as he rubbed down my back.

I looked up at him as he looked me in the eyes. I don't know what I felt, but I just wanted to be comforted. I leaned in and met his lips with mine. Our lips moved in sync. I slid my tongue in his mouth grabbing onto his neck. He rubbed my back up and down as he grabbed my cheek. I pulled away and my cheeks were red.

“Chris... I'm so sorry, it was just in the heat of the moment"

“It's cool Jaye.... we should get ready to go"

We both got up and got on the car. The ride was silent on the way back to the house. 2 mins later I was in front of the house.

“Thanks for the talk Chris I appreciate it "

“Welcome, Jaye is it alright if I get your number "

“Of course"

I gave him my phone as he gave me his. I put my number under BestFriend♡. He gave me my phone back as he slid out the car as he smirked. I looked down at my phone and saw he put his number under FirstKiss∞

HAHAHA very funny Chris. But it was true...
