Chris POV.

I really didn't wanna tell her cause I don't wanna make her upset. But I know its better if I get this off my chest other than just holding it in. Hopefully she won't be to mad.

“What you mean you got a problem?”

“Um ever since the police incident..” I said putting my head down.“I've been taking these pain killers and I'm starting to think I'm addicted to them. ”

“Wowww.” she said sitting back. “Are you proud of yourself?”

“The fuck you mean am I proud of myself? No I'm not!!”

“I'm just asking this police incident happened months ago and you been taking the pills this whole time!!”

“I know I wanna stop but I can't sometimes it feels like need them.”

“Chris I don't give a fuck what you feel like you need!!” she cried. “I need you to be healthy...I love you and I don't want nothing to happen to you.”

I looked at her realizing she just told me she loved me. That's something I been wanting to tell her for a long time I just wanted her to feel the same.

“I love you too baby.” I said sitting beside her.

“Prove it.”

“How?”

“Promise me you won't take those pills again.” she said looking up at me.

“But what if I'm in-”

“Nigga you been taking those pill for months yo ass ain't gonna be in pain.”

“Okay,okay I promise I won't take them.”

I bent down and kissed her and surprisingly she kissed me back. I could tell this kiss was gonna turn into something more, cause she started putting her hands in my pants.

“Jaye you sure you wanna do this?”

“No not really.” she said taking her hands out my pants.

“Then what was you doing?” I laughed.

“Trying to make you feel good I guess.” she shrugged.

“I'm good baby.”

“So you don't wanna have sex?” she asked sounding concerned.

“Not unless your ready. I ain't rushing you and you shouldn't be either.”

“Good I'm gonna stay a virgin forever I ain't never having sex like ever.”

I looked down at her hands and she was fidgeting with her fingers and her voice was getting shaky.

“What's wrong with you?”

“Nothing.”

“For real Jaye wassup?”

“Really its nothing.”

“If I gotta ask you one more time.”

“Okay. You know about my sister right?”

“Yeah her name was Sadie right?”

“Yeah well tomorrow gonna mark her 5th anniversary.”

“I'm sorry Jaye. How old would she be?”

“She would've been 19 years old.”

“At least she's in a better place.”

“No she not.” she mumbled.

“What you mean?”

“My sister is in hell you can't go to heaven for killing yourself!!!” she screamed.

Right when she said that her momma came in slamming the door.

“What the hell did you just say?” her momma asked walking towards Jaye.

“Chris leave.”

I ain't waste no time getting up and leaving this was obviously something I shouldn't see.

Jaye POV.

After Chris left I tried to go upstairs to my room, but my momma snatched me down.

“How dare you disrespect your sister like that? Those words shou-.”

“Its the truth.” I said cutting her off. “And don't act like you care now!! You been M.I.A ever since daddy left not caring about me.”

“Don't try to play victim.”

“Victim? I am the victim!! My sister is dead and in hell right now because you didn't act like a mother. I dare you to say right now that you didn't know she was being raped. I dare you.”

“What about you? You knew and didn't say anything!!”

“Bitch I was 12!! We was both told not to say anything or we'll die.”

“He wasn't gonna kill y'all asses.”

“Unfortunately in order to get out the situation she had to kill herself.”

I was now over the edge and angry. Words couldn't explain how mad I was right now. Just looking at her face made me wanna 2 piece her ass.

“Get out my face Jaye.”

“Fuck you now I see why daddy left your ass.” I said out of anger.

My momma turned around and started walking towards me with a unreadable face.

“No matter what I am your mother you will respect me.” She slapped me across the face and walked away.

I just stood there cause everything in me made me wanna punch her, but I know better. I just grabbed my keys off the counter and headed out. Not knowing where to go.
