Holly's POV

I woke up earlier than usual the next day. I think it was because I knew I had to be alert for my family coming home.

I got up from my bed and let my ears, tail, fangs and claws come out, as well as my eyes to start glowing a more fiery orange colour.

I got dressed in black jeans, a black t-shirt and my leather jacket, as well as my black and white high top converse.

I honestly felt like an emo or a goth, but oh well. I felt like it would hide my black wings better. And besides, I might get kicked in the back today, so I would need an excuse for my back to be soft and fluffy.

I skipped down the stairs and brushed my teeth and hair, leaving my hair down. If my dad pulled my hair today, it would just ruin it if it was up.

I went to the utility room and let Bear and Bandit out of their new cages. I hated seeing them in the big crates.

There was a delivery yesterday, turns out my parents had ordered two crates for Bear and Bandit to sleep in.

I knew I would be shouted at if I hadn't put the crates up, so I had done that and put the boxes and all the packaging in the outside bin.

My wolf growled lowly every time she saw the crates, or saw one of my dogs in them.

When Bear and Bandit came back in, I gave them their breakfast as well as half an apple each.

I then went to the kitchen and unloaded the dishwasher, putting everything away before putting in a new load.

When I was done, I put all the clean dry clothes into piles and put them in everyone's rooms, then shoved the clean wet clothes on the dryer and the dirty clothes in the washing machine.

I had just clicked the last button, when the door opened. I hurriedly shooed Bear and Bandit into their cages and bolted the doors, then rushed out to take everyone's coats.

My mum glares at me and my father gave me an accusing look, while my sister just ignored me. The only sign she knew I was there was her dumping her coat in my arms.

When I was finished hanging everyone else's coats up on the coat hanger by the door, i turned to see my mother and father still standing there glaring at me.

My wolf looked like she needed to talk to me urgently, so I told her I'd talk to her when we're alone.

"You better have not made any mess. And did you put up the crates for those dogs?" Mum asked in her scratchy voice, sneering when she said 'dogs'.

"I made no mess, mum, I promise. And yes, I put up the crates for Bear and Bandit. They're sitting in them now." I said as politely as possible, although all I wanted to do was punch her 'perfect' face.

'Why's her hair so... huge?' My wolf asks me, referring to my mums big bush of hair.

'It's full of secrets!' I hiss quietly back at her, trying my best not to laugh. (A/n whoever gets that reference I love you)

"Go take them outside. Don't want them stinking up the house." My mum says, sniffing.

I don't say anything, just nod and walk away quickly.

{2 hours later}

Me and my dogs have been sitting in the woods for ages. I've let me wolf ears and tail (I just discovered I have a grey, fluffy - yes, FLUFFY - tail).

My wolf has been wanting to talk to me for ages. I close my eyes and look at her in my mind.

"Alright, what's wrong?" I ask.

"They're not your family." She says, sitting down and looking at me with worry clear in her eyes.

"What?!" I ask.

"Let me explain..."
